[redacted] rented a camper from R&R Campers and requested that the camper be dropped off to her at a location closer to her home I towed the camper to the Lions Park in St Croix Falls with my Chevy Equinox To remove the camper from the ball of my vehicle I placed a wooden block on the paved parking lot, removed the chains, disconnected the light cord and proceeded to crank the jack until the camper hitch was clear of my vehicles ball hitch This was very simple and required no pushing or prodding or manual lifting because the vehicle ball hitch and the camper tongue hitch line up [redacted] returned the camper to our lot I drove my same vehicle over to it immediately after she dropped it off so I could take it in to the shop to get the propane hose looked at and to my surprise I could not lower the camper tongue hitch onto my vehicle ball hitch even though nothing on my vehicle had changed The entire tongue of the camper had been bent upward I have pictures This conclusive evidence was explained to this customer She was emailed a photograph of the camper all set up so she could even see for herself and she still refused to admit she had done it or discuss what she thought was fair in regards to damages She insists upon calling my husband who is the co-owner of our business “The Maintenance Man” and he is the one she talked to on two occasions She has misquoted both of us in her emails to us and in her complaint to you For example, my husband told her that we do not have the time to fill the propane tanks between customers This was also told to her in her confirmation email when she made the reservation In her complaint she states that he said we don’t have time to check each one out before renting them We do a complete inspection of the campers before they go back out It is only the propane that is not checked Also, she states that she reported the dent to my husband over the phone but that is not true She could not get her propane working and called because she was mad about it, when in reality she is the one who broke it Finally, our customers agree to the damage policy and provide a deposit to cover them [redacted] authorized us to charge the card on file for damages, and since there were damages it is not clear to me why she is unwilling to take responsibility for them Desired Settlement: Our business with [redacted] to be concluded Feel free to contact me if you need further information Thank you, [redacted] R&R Campers, LLC

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me And I will use all my social media and the fact that I work with the public to let others know that this business truly stinks Regards, [redacted]

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below I'm not sure where to begin regarding their response to my complaint I will start with, yes the camper was delivered to me(an option they offered for an additional charge) I hooked the camper onto my vehicle, I guess it's significant to mention the vehicle type(not sure why it's significant) but it was a Chevy Blazer, and everything lined up just like on their Chevy and I drove awayI apologize for referring to her husband a.k.a co-owner of the business as the "maintenance man" as when he received the call from me regarding the problems, he told me he was the "maintenance -tech man" and that he had campers and was not able to check them all Not once did he identify himself as the co-owner or husband of ***( perhaps that's why I "insisted" upon calling him the "maintenance man") As far as the confirmation email she is referring to regarding the propane tanks, I never received them, perhaps it ended up someplace else, much like the receipts I requested from them regarding the repairs that were made and charged on my credit card that I never received from themWhen I called to tell him (now known as the co-owner-husband) I did tell him that someone had messed with the tank by duct taping the plug and that the camper had a dent where the tank was sitting When you are referring to the photos that they emailed me,(amazing they managed to make it to my email ) It is clear in the pictures that there are several blocks under the tongue, so many that it makes the bed look like it's jacked up and crooked Amazing as, when I slept in the bed and the tongue was on a block and level, I didn't have any problems because according to your picture I would've rolled out of bed! And I would've then called the husband/co-owner formally known as the "maintenance man" and told him the bed was crooked! Finally, when I brought the camper back (on that same Chevy Blazer as mentioned above) to their place of business, I wasn't sure if it was a camper rental place or a place where people dump their unwanted, salvaged campers for someone to scrap out Had I gone there to pick the camper up in the first place, I would've quickly made the decision to not rent one from them I guess that's a live and learn on my partIn regards to the charging on my credit card, that too is a live and learn thing, I'm just amazed that I was told what they took from me to make the repairs after they already charged my card! And when I asked for a receipt I got nothing! At least I know that I did not cause the problem that needed to be fixed So to you, the Revdex.com, I have an issue with stating that I accept or reject the business' response I have accepted that I was taken in this transaction but I want it to be a reflection on how this business transacts their affairs and for it to be made available to the public If you do not feel it warrants recording to the public, I am happy that I have several other social media outlets to vent my opinion on how this business operates Thank you for your time [Regards, [redacted]

As a customer service oriented company that has been renting campers since 2009, we always give our customers the benefit of the doubt whenever there is any doubt In this case, however, there is absolutely no doubt that the renter did the damages to the camper In rare instances when damages occur we take photographic evidence of damages as support for the claim of damages being done and give customers the opportunity to discuss what is fair in regards to damage charges This renter refused to acknowledge her liability and would not discuss charges so we itemized a list of necessary supplies, including welder time, and proceeded with the repair It is unfortunate that any customer has a bad experience but there are times when it cannot be remedied by us The total charge for the bent camper frame and reinforcement including supplies and welder time was $ Attached is the confirmation email sent to the customer on May 14th, I understand that it cannot be included in the file as is because it contains private customer information but I thought it should be sent to you since the renter in the case denies having received it Thank you R&R Campers Thank you for your reservation deposit I have you booked in the 10’ Starcraft # from 8/– 9/with one-way drop in StCroixFalls at the Lion park on the evening of 8/ I will be in touch one week prior to set the meet time for that drop We understand that sometimes things come up so we want you to be aware that $of your deposit is refundable up to days prior to your pidate after which none will be returned to you Your balance of $will be due when you take possession of the camper We also require a damage deposit of $ This can be a credit card number held on file or a check that we staple to your rental agreement and then shred The majority of damages occur during set up and take down Therefore, we have made a demo video on our website which gives instructions as well as the rules of pop up camping This is for your convenience as you can watch it at home, saving time the day you are traveling Before we schedule the drop you will be required to email me the rules Please note that although we have a Siren address we are NOT in the village of Siren We are miles west of the village in Falun which is unincorporated One final note, all the campers come with a propane tank but we cannot ensure the quantity of propane inside the tank Some customers take there chances, others bring one from home so that if they have to fill a tank they can take it home and use it If you need propane and run out, it typically costs about $to swap the tank for a full one at Wal-Mart or Menards, etc Feel free to contact us if you have any questions Thank you, [redacted] R&R Campers [redacted] ** [redacted] www.randrcampers.com

As a customer service oriented company that has been renting campers since 2009, we always give our customers the benefit of the doubt whenever there is any doubt.  In this case, however, there is absolutely no doubt that the renter did the damages to the camper.  In rare instances when damages occur we take photographic evidence of damages as support for the claim of damages being done and give customers the opportunity to discuss what is fair in regards to damage charges.  This renter refused to acknowledge her liability and would not discuss charges so we itemized a list of necessary supplies, including welder time, and proceeded with the repair.  It is unfortunate that any customer has a bad experience but there are times when it cannot be remedied by us.  The total charge for the bent camper frame and reinforcement including supplies and welder time was $188.
Attached is the confirmation email sent to the customer on May 14th, 2014.  I understand that it cannot be included in the file as is because it contains private customer information but I thought it should be sent to you since the renter in the case denies having received it.
Thank you
R&R Campers
Thank
you for your reservation deposit.
I
have you booked in the 10’ Starcraft # 12 from 8/25 – 9/1 with one-way drop in St. CroixFalls at the Lion park on the evening of
8/25.
I
will be in touch one week prior to set the meet time for that drop.
We
understand that sometimes things come up so we want you to be aware that $25 of
your deposit is refundable up to 14 days prior to your pick-up date after which
none will be returned to you.
Your
balance of   $407.00 will be due when you take possession of the
camper.
We
also require a damage deposit of $300.  This can be a credit card number
held on file or a check that we staple to your rental agreement and then shred.
The majority of damages occur during set up and take down.
Therefore, we have made a demo video on our website which gives
instructions as well as the 4 rules of pop up camping.  This is for your
convenience as you can watch it at home, saving time the day you are
traveling.  Before
we schedule the drop you will be required to email me the 4 rules.

Please note that although we have a Siren address we are NOT in
the village of Siren.  We are 8 miles west of the
village in Falun which is unincorporated.

One
final note, all the campers come with a propane tank but we cannot ensure the
quantity of propane inside the tank.  Some customers take there chances,
others bring one from home so that if they have to fill a tank they can take it
home and use it.  If you need propane and run out, it typically costs
about $20 to swap the tank for a full one at Wal-Mart or Menards, etc.

Feel
free to contact us if you have any questions.
Thank
you,

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
