In regards to the matter of *** *** The customer had made a appointment to pick uphis property with us on 12-23-Mr *** wanted a time frame between 2:and 3:pm I stateddue to the holiday we were closing at noon Mr*** agreed to be here
at noon or before noon I waitedpersonally until 1:pmI then decided to go ahead and leave In the statement Mr*** gave you statedhe was at the address *** * * *** Our address is *** * ** *** it is clearly Mr*** was at the wrong address .I have tried to accommodate Mr*** and even set up a late delivery over miles in witch nobody answered the door , so we set up delivery again for the next day in witch I paid a driver twice for delivery over miles one way to accommodatehimWhen my driver arrives at the home again nobody was answering the door I told my driver to wait until Mr.*** father arrived so we can release the shipment to his father Now I have to state that this is a free government move I feel that we have did our best to accommodate Mr*** I also attached our line up to show the time that Mr*** was scheduled

I'll start off by saying that they haven't yet moved my stuff to my new apartment. I scheduled the move more than two weeks in advance. I never received a confirmation from them aside from the initial phone call. The day prior to the scheduled date, I received a "courtesy" call at 1515 local time, confirming the appointment. I didn't have my apartment keys yet, and they told me they would have to cancel the move. I explained to them that I would go get the keys a day early so they could still come at the appointed time.

I called and left 5 messages stating that I was ready to get the shipment on the appointed date and time. They never responded. I received a call from Lackland AFB TMO stating that my scheduled move had been cancelled the previous evening. They had already cancelled my move and booked another before they had even called me to confirm.

Needless to say I was a bit livid. I spoke with their corporate office in Alabama and was told that this was unacceptable and they would deal with the issue for me. They were able to "deal with the issue" by rescheduling my move for the 4th of October. Two weeks after their promised delivery date.

This is a military move and my temporary storage expires before the 4th meaning I will have to pay out of pocket for the warehouse fees.

If it were possible to give negative stars, that is what they would receive. I will also be filing a complaint with the Department of Defense. I'm not the first Military member this company has screwed over, but hopefully they will lose their government contract and this won't happen to any one else.

Review: Desert Sun severely damaged piano and table in storing furniture for move---now refuses to pay me for the repairs or even acknowledge or respond to phone calls as to status and when, at long last, are they going to accept responsibility for their gross negligence and recklessness and pay me for repairs. Move was in may , 2013Desired Settlement: Pay for severe damages done to furtnitre---piano is an heirloom, table is also valuable, sheared a leg of the table off and sheared the feet of the piano off by sheer carelessnesss

The shipment of used Household Goods for this customer was loaded by Desert Sun on 5/14/2013 and brought to our warehouse for storage. On 6/18/2013 this shipment was released from our warehouse to a [redacted] driver to move this customer to [redacted] and was delivered to the customers residence on 6/23/2013. The customer did not file a claim until 9/11/2013 with [redacted] only and not Desert Sun Moving. [redacted] is trying to tell the customer that part of her claim is the responsibility with Desert Sun and [redacted] still as of 12/4/2013 has not settled this claim with the customer. Desert Sun is not able to process any claim until [redacted] finalizes their claim with the customer because the customer is claiming the same items against the [redacted] as they are trying to file against Desert Sun. [redacted] from Desert Sun has been in communication with the customer regarding the status and we are still unable to process the claim because the customer has not finalized their claim with the [redacted].

Nightmare!

Wouldn't have these guys move a lemonade stand. They sent an incompetent crew, only made worse by unethical and unprofessional management. Beware: although it was sold/referred to as an "insurance policy", after they CRASHED THEIR TWO TRUCKS into each other, they fought us on every item and still have not made us whole (not to mention excessive damage and stolen tools during the move...tools they used as they didn't bring their own). Best part remains after fighting us and telling us that it wasn't an "insurance policy" that we purchased, they charged us $250 for a "deductible".

Thank goodness for [redacted], who accepted my documentation with these individuals and allowed for a full charge back. While [redacted] might have helped with a little justice, I warn anyone of this unprofessional and unethical company. We are also pursuing every other avenue to file official complaints concerning this experience. As we promised them, we will share our experience with all who will listen. [redacted]- all of this could have been avoided with one ounce of professionalism and customer service. Hope your fight was worth it. I plan on continuing to share this in speeches and meetings (referencing your company) as a poor example of "customer service" (which is my profession). Thanks for the material.

THIS WAS MY FIRST PCS MOVE. IT WAS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE HAD. WE HAD THIS COMPANY PACK US OUT AND WHEN OUR STUFF HAD ARRIVED AT OUR NEW DUTY STATION , I WAS IN SHOCK. WE HAD SO MUCH OF OUR STUFF MISSING . STUFF THAT CAN'T BE REPLACED IS GONE. THAT MEANT THE WORLD TO ME. THIS SHOULD NOT HAPPEN TO NO ONE. I HAVE TRIED TO CONTACT THIS COMPANY AND THE OWNER DOES NOT REPLY BACK.

OMG This is absolutely the worst moving company on the face of the planet, not only are they unprofessional but their pricing is outrageous...how on earth they stay in business is beyond me, The customer service is appauling and my only comfort is knowing my voice is heard via my dissatisfaction on this review...Please do research before using this company...If you can use any other company, DO IT!
