We have reviewed our records associated with case ID *** regarding installation of permanent service to a pole barn. Our records show the following events: Member submitted request for service on 9/26/Technician inspected site on 9/27/and found that the meter base was not
installed and inspected at this timeMember called on 10/3/stating that meter base was inspected and ready for service Member called on 10/12/requesting status of jobTechnician began designing permanent service on 10/12/Member called 10/17/requesting status of jobJob was routed to operations on 10/18/Member called 10/25/requesting status of jobJob was completed on 10/27/ In summary, the pole barn was not ready for permanent service at the time of application. When the member did notify SCI REMC that the pole barn was ready for service a miscommunication between member services and engineering departments delayed necessary engineering work. After the member call on October 25th the job was pushed up in the schedule and completed on October 27th. Proper communication procedures were reviewed with customer service and engineering. This training should prevent such miscommunication in the future. We apologize for the unnecessary delay in the installation of service.
