Review: In April 2013 I contacted [redacted] to purchase and install windows for my home. He came to my home the evening of April *, 2013, measured the windows, discussed what had to be done, the length of time the job would take, gave me a price. I emphasized how I didn't want this process to inconvenience my tenant, who was more than willing to accommodate [redacted] and his team. After a very thorough conversation covering and addressing all of my concerns I agreed and [redacted] wrote a contract/receipt. I gave him a cash deposit of $750.00 he then informed me due to the loss of his former business at the hands of his business partner and the loss due to other customers he required half the amount. He returned to my home on the evening of April **,2013 and I gave [redacted] an additional $550.00 cash bringing my deposit to $1300.00. He told said he would contact me in a few weeks and once the windows were received( he orders the windows from New Jersey) we would set up a date. That never happened. He has set up and confirmed installation dates/ time and not shown up or called. He has caused my tenant to miss work and caused me to lose my overtime. Each time I spoke with him via phone or text he has given an excuse. July **,2013 we spoke via phone regarding installation for the following day July ** 2013. At that time [redacted] again gave excuses and I asked for a full cash refund, [redacted] agreed and he was going to bring it the following day, he didn't show up. [redacted] has promised to return my money but I still haven't received it. On August **, 2013 [redacted] contacted me and said he would have my refund for me on Friday August **, 2013 that day has come and gone, still nothing. I contacted [redacted] because of the work he did for me 10 years ago. I didn't know he had become a dishonest, irresponsible, stealing scam artist. He has ruined the relationship/trust I had with my tenant of 15 years.Desired Settlement: I would like my cash deposit refunded as [redacted] promised so I can get the windows for my tenant. It has been more than 4 months of trying to resolve this matter I really need your assistance. [redacted] has failed to provide, install and cap the windows I ordered and gave a cash deposit.
