I am writing back to Revdex.com to answer this complaint . But I am a little confused ? On April 29th I met both homeowner at the Bedford Building Department at 10:00 am . We were to meet and discuss the issue in front of [redacted] the head of the building department . He was going act as a moderator and...
help us resolve the issue with the bathroom remodel. This is not function of the building department unless there is a code issue . There was No code issue . The customer brought a list of issues that we had already gone over in the house a few weeks back . At that time we had a plan in place to take care of the list , I told [redacted] I would have a painter come over first . The painter came over and took care of the painting of the adjacent bedroom wall that was effected by the work in the bathroom we remodeled . The next item was the bathroom entry door threshold which was installed best it could by my installer because the walls weren’t square and 2 different thickness. To make [redacted] happier I agreed to uninstall the door and replace the existing threshold with a new larger threshold to cover more area. Also I was going to replace the 2 interior door trims . We also where going to clean up some messy grout application . We also agreed to tighten the plumbing trim plate that was loose . At this meeting they also brought up some grout at the window had come loose . We agreed we would take care of this also at that time .So as you can see we had a plan to take care of these issue , and these are in our eyes the final punch list . The problem came when I called and emailed [redacted] & [redacted]tine to confirm us coming back to house to do the work , they refused us entry to do the work . They said they didn’t like the way we were going to fix there issues so they cancelled us from fixing any of the issues. We have never had a client refuse us from fixing issue or taking care of punch list items before. The client still owed us the final payment of $3,543.76 which we never ask for until the client is satisfied with their project . After we had our meeting , [redacted] had stormed out of twice because he said he was done with the whole thing and told [redacted]tine to do what she wanted . I asked her as we were leaving what she wanted me to do ? I offered herTo keep the final balance of $3,543.76 and hire her carpenter to finish the job . She agreed in front of [redacted] as the best resolve to the final punch list .The final balance in my estimation way in above the amount needed to rectify the punch list.So I am confused to find the complaint was sent the day before our meeting . I did email [redacted]tine for clarification on what they wanted me to do ? She did not reply to my email on May 2nd I believe I have offered to fix the problems or they can use the full balance to find someone that can on their own.
