Review: I placed an order for furniture on October 28, 2013. I cancelled the order but have been unable to resolve getting credit for the order. The furniture was never delivered but the merchant will not refund or offer me a credit. The order number is [redacted]. The desk and chair were to be delivered to my son, a student at Chapman University. Review: I purchased a sofa from Design Centers online store. The sofa arrived and after a day I noticed a very strong toxic smell to it. I waited a couple of days to see if it would go away and it only got worse. So, I phoned the representative that sold me the sofa, three days after the fact, and he indicated to me that I could not get a full refund due to charging me a 25% re-stock fee. I did not want to loose money since it was not like I decided to just return the sofa, it was a health hazard. I asked if I could exchange it for a sofa of equal value and he said yes. So I did so. About three weeks later, the drivers arrive with the new sofa, and took the old one, and then said that I owed them 139.00. I asked to speak to [redacted], the representative that sold me the lies, and he went on with another lie how he wasn't charging me a restock fee, but and then I just handed the phone back top the driver and asked that he take both couches and that I want my money back in it's entirety. [redacted] then told the driver to put the toxic sofa on the sidewalk and take the new sofa back. The sad part is that [redacted] knew that I had just lost my husband and had no means of carrying the toxic sofa back into my house by myself. So - after intimidation, I paid the 139.00 through my credit card. I called Design Center back and asked for the owner/manager, but was told he was busy. I called a second time a day later, they asked who this was, I told them my name and they said he was busy. I then sent an email to this person and it went unanswered. Since then they have changed their return policy on their website, but I have a screenshot of the original return policy and it states as follows:

To receive full credit, all returned merchandise must accompany the original sales receipt and must be in the same condition as when purchased (New and Unused) complete with accessories and instructions and original packaging. Merchandise not meeting these requirements may NOT be acceptedDesired Settlement: This company conducts deceit for profit, which is highly illegal from a criminal perspective and conducts deceitfully, manipulative practices. Their employees lie consistently, and am pursuing action against them.

Review: I purchased furniture with this company. The couch fell apart within 2 months. We contacted the vendor and they sent a repairman who confirmed the couch could not be fixed. Upon contacting the vendor, they told me I could purchase another couch for an extra fee, but they would not credit me.I disputed the charge with [redacted] who advised us they could not get involved, but was advised to contact the merchant to have the couch picked up and then resubmit the credit request to them. I contacted the vendor to pick up the couch, have not heard back from them as of yet.I have documentation to support this claim, please advise if Revdex.com would like us to submit.Desired Settlement: I would like the merchant to pick up the couch and credit us.
