March 4. It evidentially worked correctly because we received no complaints or requests for assistance.
In June, Mr. [redacted] returned the tach with a cracked display that allowed its black fluid to seep out and obliterate the numbers. We sell tens of thousands of these Tiny-Tachs, worldwide, and the display does not crack spontaneously. The tach Mr. [redacted] returned to us was not salvageable. Because we felt it was not a manufacturing defect, we did not issue a refund. Rather, we replaced it with a brand new one. The only way to bring that up to his previous ten hour reading would be to physically run it on an engine for that period of time. That was explained to him and since it was merely ten hours, we assumed it was OK with him. Mr. [redacted] also requested a customized 8 foot coax cable (standard is 6 feet) and that was supplied at no cost.
Towards the latter part of June, Mr. [redacted] called us in a very agitated state indicating he was not happy with the resolution and demanding a refund. To avoid further conflict, a refund of his purchase price was issed to his credit card account and a receipt verifying that transaction was mailed to him. I believe as of this date he still has the replacement tach we sent him.
[redacted] (President of Design Technology) and I have tried to be as accommodating as possible under the circumstances. Mr. [redacted] seems to be a difficult man to satisfy. I am not sure what else we can do for him.

Mrs. [redacted] has a difficult time telling the truth. The truth is, I never ordered an extended cable. As I told her, the tiny tach was for a small outboard motor. Why would I need more than 2 feet? Mr. [redacted] and Mrs. [redacted] are the only two employees of this company I have delt with. They both are extremely rude, unprofessional and disorganized. For me to spend the time on a Revdex.com complaint should give anyone reading an understanding of how backward the customer service is at Design Technology. I deal with hundreds of small businesses a year, yet Design Technology treated me so poorly that I felt the need to make a compliant-the only compliant I ve made against any business in years. Mrs. [redacted]s response was very defensive and unprofessional. She knows nothing about customer service-you don't blame the customer for your mistakes. I would strongly caution anyone against doing business with design technology. There are much better products out there.

Dear Ms. [redacted], I consider the correspondence with Mr. [redacted] to be terminated. We responded to his comments on 7/2 and again on 7/9. There is really no more we can add. It seems as though Mr. [redacted] is trying to get us to say something that he can use in a legal attack against us but that is not going to happen for a $47 item. For the record, however, I would like to present a copy of the packing slip (our Action Record) that accompanied the replacement tach we sent to him on June 25 and a copy of the refund of his original purchase price that was refunded to his credit card on June 25. Contrary to his statements, he received both a new tachometer and a refund for his original purchase price.
I hope that is a satisfactory response to Revdex.com.

I have no idea who [redacted] is-never heard of him. Maybe he invented the junk they call tiny tach? I have not been refunded. [redacted] is once again lying. I want a refund! You can see by the company's response just how unprofessional and they are. Once again, they blame the customer. Meyer spent zero time with me, and if he's such a mechanical wiz, I doubt design tech will be in business much longer. Remember he gave me an 8 foot cord for a small outboard??? What a genius. Coupled with [redacted] answering the phone, and you got a receipe for disaster. [redacted] sounds like she has some daddy issues from her past and likes to take them out on any man she can. And btw, I did find an awesome product that puts tiny tach to shame. I will be waiting for my refund while I begin my compliant process on [redacted]. Thank you. Marjorie, I hope you find a good therapist someday.
