I've used DTM twice now in the past six months and I've been very pleased with their services We initially used them to remove a very large tree in our back yard Since we live in a patio home, the removal had to be very surgical and pin-pointed, and DTM completed the job with perfection The tree and stump were removed in one morning, and there was no damage to walls, roofs, patios or gates It was like the tree was never there When we had issues with our queen palms, Ben, the field arborist, correctly diagnosed our concerns and implemented a maintenance program for the trees Within weeks of their fertilization, the queens are looking much better Other than a rescheduling issue, which was unavoidable and no big deal, DTM exceeded my expectations In fact, they went above and beyond by repairing two drip valves that were leaking prior to their initial arrival, and they did this at no additional cost to me They are pricey, but there is definitely a value to their services I will use them again, and I would definitely recommend their services

I filed a complaint with the Revdex.com, Complaint ID # ***, but I cannot request a resolution as I agreed to hire this company at the estimated price I received the estimate from an Arborist who checked out with the ISA, but the guys who show up to do the work are not, and can barely speak English I should have sent them away, but I had waited all day for them to arriveI had requested the trees be reduced in size and dead wood removed from the inside, and that was all The crew removed about 60% of the canopy during degree temperatures When I complained about the work I was told this was their "usual", which is the type of trimming you see in parking lots I had received four estimates so I called back the contractor that I first spoke with to make certain he had understood my instructions He confirmed that I was very specific, so I know that it was not my mistake

I have previously used this company without problems, BUT December of I got a quote for a Mulberry tree in my backyardDecided to not go through with having it thinned at this timeOn Monday, January 16th I came home to find a crew in my backyard CUTTING DOWN my mature ft Mulberry treeI never authorized them to go into my yard, nor do ANY TYPE OF WORK I was told by Ben (the original Arborist that did my quote) Monday (1-16-17) night that the crew was sent to the wrong address (mine) by accident, they were supposed to cut down a tree for another clientWe made an appointment for him to come to my home Weds eveningI took time off work and he never showed up, never called, never returned my phone callsToday, Thursday, January 19th, I spoke to Rachel and Phillip in the office, left two messages for Robert "Bob" K*** (the owner) but apparently he does not have the professionalism or integrity to return my phone calls to discuss THEIR errorThey have left a safety hazar

DO NOT USE DESIGN TREE MAINTENANCE! My trees died and they would not honor the warrantyIn responses to my complaint they did not even address what happened, which you can read more about on the Revdex.com section of this site soonThey said my trees were overwatered in the summerI told them no one had touched the sprinkler control except their employeesThey made up a tall tale about the sprinkler control defaulting to tree killing mode after a power outageOh, and they consider negative reviews to be "blackmail"Seriously, they took my money, their product failed and died due to the negligence of their arborist, they refuse to refund my money, and somehow a negative review = blackmail? Do you really want to do business with someone like that? Better call the cops MrK cuz I'm just getting started

We love the people at Design Tree Maintenance - Yes, they are not cheap - but our past experience in AZ with landscapers is that you get what you pay for and we are so pleased with the professionalism and honesty of this company Bob K the owner knows his stuff and the people they hire are top notch Cody, our new guy, is amazing -and he has spent lots of extra time with us to teach us about our watering system He comes with a smile and knowledgeable The crew that came out to work on our yard were so hard working - and did a fantastic job - removed a huge Texas Ebony tree (nasty job with all those stickers) planted gorgeous Mastic trees and Orange Jubilees etc - absolutely gorgeous - They show up when they say they will and clean up beautifully after their work We are so glad we have them as our maintenance team! When I asked how do they find such wonderful people like Cody and they said "we pray" - enough said

Since their watering advice and crown fertilization has made my trees worse and caused two of them to look like they are dying and all of them have burned tips from the crown fertilization, I think they should adjust the bill The trees were in better shape before they came out with their professional advice I have tried contacting them now for two weeks and keep getting the runaround from management, and salesman never has returned my call regarding my complaintThey advertise they are professional and diagnose sick trees The trees are worse now since they came out and gave their professional advise It seems they were more concerned about making a big sale or commission with wells for the palms where there was no room for a well I've had nothing but problems with them when I tried making adjustments to my order It was the office error Then the worker claimed he added drip lines to one of the trees and hadn't Another guy had to come out and add the dripper They charg

We are sorry to hear of Mrs *** frustration in this matterMrs *** paid to have her stump ground, which consists of taking the tree stump below the surface for aesthetic purposesIn percent of cases the tree will not survive grinding procedure, however a tree is a living organism,
and a particular hardy specimen will sometimes produce sprouts from the remnants of the stump in a last ditch effort to surviveThe stump grinding WAS properly completed as per the contract, however we offered to regrind Mrs *** stump at no charge once she complained of sprouting growth(we cannot guarantee that the stump will not grow back, we offered this simply to appease Mrs ***), We requested that she put some sort of stump killer on the stump prior to the regrind, as a simple re-grind will not prevent the sprouts from returning yet againLet me bring to point that Design Tree Maintenance is NOT a licensed applicator and CANNOT apply pesticides of any sort at a customers propertyAt this point we are unable to provide further assistance, as short of breaking the law and applying the chemical ourselves, any further grinding will be a very temporary solution without assistance from the customer in applying over the counter chemicalsWe were contracted to grind the stump, which has been completed as per the contract, we feel that any further services at the customers property will be outside of the range of the contract and will be billed accordingly
