Review: I found [redacted] and his business on yelp. I hired [redacted] in August 2014 to come clean my carpets in my rental condo before I moved out. He did a fantastic job and he also gave me free pet treatment ($25 worth). I then re-hired him to come back and clean my carpet at my current home. He quoted me $65 over the phone for a small hall way and 1/3 of the master room and 1/2 of my oldest sons room. When [redacted] arrived, he tried to find the pet stains with his UV ray light and was unsuccessful. He suggested just a regular cleaning would be fine. I told him I know the area where my dog left his pee stains so if that was useful then he can spray those areas. [redacted] was still unable to spot the stains so he suggested again that a regular cleaning would be fine. 2 days later when the carpets dried, I was able to smell the pee stains still so I text him to come back. He said he'd come back and treat the odor since he didn't do that. He was unable to make it back; on 2 occasion [redacted] said he needed to fix the brakes on his car and the 2nd excuse was that his van had issues. The couple of times he said he'd show up in the next week, he didn't show up at all nor text me. There was one time he said he'd be at my house in 20 mins and that was when I was at my sons bball practice already. The next 2-3 wks consisted of multiple texts that were not answered back by him. On the 4th week, I finally called him and he picked up and said he'd show up on Tuesday which he never showed up. Then one more time he said he' come the following sunday evening when I came back from the bay area and didn't show up either. He did call me when I was unable to pick up due to driving and did not get back to him until 45mins later. When I got home around 4:30-5pm I text him and said I was home but he never got back to me via text or phone call. This has been going back and forth for a month now and [redacted] can just refund me since he is no longer welcomed at my house!Desired Settlement: Refund me back my $65 so that I can hire someone else to come clean my carpets and get the pet odor out! I trusted him since he did such a good job at my rental condo that I did not get a receipt from him and he didn't offer me one. I had $45 cash on me and took the other $20 from savings to pay him!

Business states that they did try to reschedule 2 appointments with consumer but unfortunately the appointments were broken. Business cannot continue to brake other appointments for this customer. Business never guarantees job on pet stains. At this point refund is denied, due to the fact that consumer was provided with services that she was charged for and was actually undercharged for the service. In addition, the fact that the pet is still present in the house will never resolve the pet stain problem as pets will return to urinate in the same area. For this reason no certified professional in the carpet cleaning business will ever guarantee to completely eliminate pet odor problem as long as the pets are still present in the household.

I am rejecting this response because:[redacted] NEVER DID pet treatment! He suggested that, that was NOT NEEDED since he couldn't find the pet damage with his UV RAY light! [redacted] suggested a regular cleaning was fine. I took his words since he has been in the business for awhile. Had he done a PET TREATMENT, maybe the odor wouldn't still be there.. Pet has been blocked since the service and still in the house however pet has not been allowed in the hallways and bedrooms where [redacted] did the cleaning since the service! The two times he said he'd come out to do pet treatment, he never made it out! He never called or text me to let me know why he could'nt make it out. We have attached a pet gate since the service! I have all the phone record saved that he "read" all my text messages sent to him and he simply ignored and never replied back (the benefit of letting people know you've read their messages on your iphone)! He ignored numerous texts week after week and NEVER showed up when he was supposed to the first 2 appointments in the first 2 weeks following the service! I've saved the last few texts for proof! I can get printout from my phone company of the first 3 weeks or so of [redacted] not responding back to any of my texts until I sent a blunt text as to why he has been ignoring me; which that was when he used his wife's pregnancy sickness as an excuse as to why he hasn't been responding to my weeks and weeks worth or texts! A month goes by, I made a call and he picked up, and he said he would come out on that following sunday because he didn't work that day and had absolutely nothing to do but of course AGAIN NEVER MADE IT OUT! He said he'd show up on a Tuesday because there was absolutely nothing booked for that day and he of course NEVER SHOWED UP! I will show all saved text messages and phone record of him ignoring several weeks worth of texts and texts from me to him stating why he never showed up when he was supposed to! [redacted] even ignored my husbands text to him, which was our very last message to [redacted] before the Revdex.com complaint, regarding our issue and why he hasn't called me to resolve it. There's been at least 20+ texts made to him and NO RESPONSE!! He's used his car issue as the reason why he couldn't come out a couple of times and his wife's pregnancy sickness as to why he couldn't come out and why he couldn't respond to numerous of my texts. Duh! There was a reason why I preferred to text him rather than make phone calls.....I knew he was going to be any issue after him "reading" my first few texts and ignoring them. [redacted] was never underpaid for the work! Actually he mentioned that he quoted me $65 because he thought my house was bigger over the phone. My house is about 1000 sq ft. Master bedroom, hallway and the other 1/3 of the room was fairly small!

Response:

Business states that there is obviously a disagreement on how the scheduling difficulties transpired. At this point business would like to bring closure to this situation and is proposing to set a date of Monday the 15th of December between 8-10 in the morning. This will be a one time pet treatment with no guarantees. Business has no other availability and unfortunately cannot accommodate consumer until next year.
