Review: Hello, I am currently homeless with my mom and brother because of this contractor. My mother is a [redacted] and I am very afraid all of this stress will make her worst. Our contractor, [redacted], who lives next door to my aunt or uncle on [redacted]took 140,000 from us so far (majority in cash) and has not completed our work. We had many issues not completing our work correctly. This contractor caused our house to flood, pipe issues, DOB violations, working without required permits and expired permits. Our work started on August **, 2013 and it has been over a year, the contractor promised us to be done in 2/3 months December 2013 and here we are over a year later with flooding, DOB violations, expired permits that he wants us to pay for and lots more problems. Every week he promises more and more and keeps failing to show up to work or even answer our calls. We can no longer afford to do this. This contractor has done this to 4 other people I came across in the past few weeks and we need to take legal actions. He is collecting cash from people, not finishing their jobs & using our money to build his own home and take care of his family (non working wife and kids). He does not know how to do construction properly, he messes up plumbing, electrical and causes all sorts of issues. This is a very disgusting and terrible person and he does not deserve to hold a clean license. He is ruining our life and stealing all of our hard worked for earnings and using it for his own good. He is not a good businessman and this is overly stressful and I can not stand this con artist thief any longer.Desired Settlement: If contractor can not finish the job by 9/**/14 (this Friday, as promised) I will continue to report his business, and meet with everyone else having these issues and need to take legal action.

Review: we've purchase our first home in [redacted] in 3-**-2014, employed contractor sometime around july 2014 for an interior alteration, contractor promised that the job will be done before september of 2014, after several pushing around and 3 Months later we finally moved into our new home, due to the complexity of this situation my health deteriorated which also caused my family to also stress on this issue. To this date we are still fighting to get all remaining permits and inspection done so we can continue to live in our new home, We received a letter from DOB 7/*/2015 stating that the permit is due to expire today 7/*/2015 and we will have to file for an extension, we then reached out to the Contractor of Designer Concepts to let him know of our situation and he keeps putting it off every single time we call to inquire about it, this is all included in the Contract we signed.. I would not recommend any living single soul to this company (so called Contractor) to anyone, especially in the county of Nassau, I wold appreciate if someone can please assist with this matter as the earliest, This contractor also took advantage of me by asking for a loan of $10,000, i'm also seeking to have this money refunded to me.Desired Settlement: Seeking to have my job that is stated on the contract to be FULLY completed including all permits I.E plumbing certificates, and the refund of $10,000 which was loaned.
