The mechanics at this company Trinity Rd location in Cordova TN tired to badger my daughter into filling a secondary insurance claim to get more money
My daughter dropped my car off to be repaired. The car was hit by our neighbor driving a Ford f150 which shift the frame on my car in the rear. They were supposed to check the car and give an esitmate of the damage to the insurance company. I sent my daughter back to the shop to get items out of the car and while she was there the mechanic there tried to badger her into filling a secondary insurance claim with my insurance company to get more money or they could fix the car at all. She called me crying saying because she felt like she was cornered by them and they were trying force her into filling a secondary insurance claim or they wouldn't fix the car. I went there myself the today, February 19,2020 and she was right they told me the same. When I said don't' touch the car, I'm coming back to pick it up, the man got angry with me and said just leave. I did just that and called the insurance company and expressed how I felt about the shady practice. This company needs to be reprehended or even fined for doing business like that. Trying to get customer to file a secondary false insurance claim. I want them fined.
I want this company to apologize for badgering my daughter and fined for illegal business practices.
To begin with, this claim would be against the DeSoto Collision Center-Trinity location, not the "Wolfchase" location. Please correct this.
As stated by *** her daughter dropped her vehicle off for repair and an estimate of the damage for her insurance claim. Upon inspection of her vehicle it appeared that her vehicle had substantial prior damage in the same area from a previous accident, not the current claim for which repairs were authorized to us by her insurance company. When the daughter arrived, this was brought to her attention and she confirmed that she had been hit previously by an uninsured motorist and the vehicle had not been repaired. She was notified we would not be able to repair her vehicle unless the prior damage was addressed and that the prior damage was a safety concern which should be addressed with her insurance company. The daughter was very understanding. Upon the mother*** arrival she was extremely rude to the receptionist and she was asked to leave by the manager. She was also told we would have her vehicle ready to be picked up.
I am sorry *** does not understand our position that we cannot repair her vehicle without addressing the prior damage and we cannot bill said additional damage to her insurance company without their approval. I am sure that she will become aware of this as she pursues another repair facility.
