Desoto Image

Complaint[redacted] with Desoto Image took photographs of my child with the Easter Bunny at a local church event on Sunday April 5th. You had to pay upfront for prints and a digital image release ($20 for the prints and $5 for the digital image). Once Mrs. [redacted] completed the editing process she was supposed to email a digital image along with calling to set up a time to pick up the prints. I never received an email or phone call from Mrs. [redacted]. I tried to contact Mrs. [redacted] multiple times by phone,[redacted] messages to her business page and personal account, and via the church where she was asked to take the photos. After the church contacted her I did receive an email with a copy and pasted image not the actual digital image file, which I was told I would receive when I paid for the images and file. I have also not received the prints that I paid for. Mrs. [redacted] will send me[redacted] messages stating that she will call me, but she never does. She and I have spoken one time, during this conversation she told me she would email the actual digital files to me (she never did), and she told me that I could pick my pictures up at the church. I called the church to arrange pick for the my prints and Mrs. [redacted] had sent her son to retrieve the prints so I could no longer pick them up. The church where she dropped the pictures off at is only open on certain days and certain times, which were all inconvenient for me to pick the prints up. The one day I could pick them up they were no longer available since Mrs. [redacted] had her son retrieve them without notifying anyone. Now Mrs.[redacted] will not return my calls so I can arrange to pick up the prints up from her.Product_Or_Service: prints and digital imagesDesired SettlementI would like to receive my pictures or I would like a refund. I would prefer the prints and digital images, but if those are no longer I would like a refund.Business Response The customer did receive the file. Customer did not understand that her email program was showing her what the file looked like. She insisted that we email her the file, not the picture. We have since explained this to her and everything should be fine now. I am by no means computer illiterate as Ms. [redacted] is insinuating. I still have yet to receive the correct printed images. I met Ms. [redacted]'s son to receive my images only to find out they were extremely POOR quality, not the quality one would expect from a professional photographer, the images were printed from a home computer printer nor were the images pre-cut as most photographers do. Along with being poor quality it was not even the correct image. I asked her son to let his mother know (Ms. [redacted] refused to meet me) that I could meet him again tomorrow same place and time to pick up the correct image. I contacted Ms. [redacted] to make sure this would work with her, she never confirmed the meeting. This is the first time I have heard from Ms. [redacted] since meeting her son. At this point I would like the $20 back, which is what I paid for the printed images. I paid $5 for the digital file which I received as a copy and paste not an actual file. However, I will settle with the digital images I received.Final Business Response Why not just say "I don't like my prints, give me my money back."? I received NO response from my email explaining the image in email is the file. Have complainant email me back with the preferred method of refund and it will be taken care of. Thanks!
