GFCI breakers in kitchen. After turning off power Contractor removed wall plate and noticed there were no boxes (only switches) in the wall behind the wall plates and no voltage to the receptacles. Contractor did a close inspection to discover there were many other dangerous electrical problems on property. Not wanting to make matters worse, Contractor ceased all work. There were larger safety issues that needed to be addressed. Safety being our number one priority the Contractor let home owner know of the things he had found. With the homeowner's permission, he would be happy to fix the smaller issues after the much larger ones where taken care of first. The home owner said they were not interested in fixing all these issues at this time. Contractor gave the home owner an option to fix a little bit at a time. Contractor explained that it was important to get the problems fixed before he went any further. The home owner did not wish to do that at this time. Home Owner requested to put it back the way it was. Contractor explained he could not do that because it is against the National Electrical Code to do that. It must be fixed correctly or not at all.
