Destination Depot Reviews (118)

We sent a check out two days after the resolution of the the complaintSince Mr [redacted] did not receive the check we tracked it and it seems it was not cashedWe are cutting a new check and canceled the other oneChecks are cut on Wednesday and FridaWe will day a new check out on Wednesday so Mr [redacted] should have it on Friday

Destination Depot promised to be available whenever we needed themThey took over two weeks to return my phone callDestination Depot promised us a free cruise and free airfare for spending $3,on the package and they promised free airfare and accommodations for attending the seminarThey did not deliverThe "free" airfare, accommodations, and cruise are most definitely not freeOnce we mailed in the $69/pp per package ($276) the company sent a request for $100, which they told us was for taxes and fees, and that seemed reasonable for what we were promisedHowever, the only thing we received for $was a quote for a tripThey promised to be available hours a dayThey liedIn exchange for our $3,we were expecting to receive what the sales associate promised at the seminarWe have not received one single thing they've promisedWe wanted it to work and if they would have delivered what was negotiated, we wouldn't be writing to the Revdex.com

Mrs [redacted] was never told that the flights were free, anywhere during the booking process or at the presentationShe was asked to sign a check in sheet before the presentation that stated that she would be responsible for taxes and possible fees and after the presentation she signed a gift acknowledgement that stated again that there were possible feesThe postcard she received in the mail also stating she was responsible for fees as wellAs far as receiving tickets while she was at the presentation, we have no idea where she wants to go before she arrives and it is impossible to issue paper tickets anymoreThis is why it is done through a certificateSince Mrs [redacted] did not go through the presentation because of overbooking we will be more than happy to pay here back for the $registration feeIf she would jut call me at ###-###-####By the way she never called us at all to even inquire about the fee charges, if she had this would it would of been an easy fix instead of going straight to the Revdex.com

I still have not received a refundPlease open complaint back up ***

I am rejecting the business response due to the fact that there has been no refund to my credit card as Mr [redacted] has stated and I have been in touch with Capital One as of an hour ago and still no refund issuedHe stated in his response that the refund was issued on November He also said he included the new contract which was really the original one we signed trying to lead you to believe his s***, just look at the datesIs this the way to do business? Blatant lying and dishonesty!

The back of the postcard was the first attachment: Obviously, the invitation is written to entice, clearly indicating that for my time and opinion, I would receive said awards "No purchase required" is also misleading in that in order to get those awards, I would have been required to purchase them for $69/ppThe stamped disclaimer on the bottom left was not on my postcard...actually appears in this copy to be an afterthought My postcard simply stated that it was not sponsored by a specific airline I recall this clearly because it appeared to me that Southwest Airlines was promoting the event When I asked ***'s assistant at the seminar to explain, I was told that each of us might have received our invitation from a different airline depending on what airline was connected to the credit card...At this point, I'm not sure if that statement was even factual but I do know that had the full disclaimer appeared on my postcard, I certainly would have asked for details prior to driving one hour each way to the seminar As stated previously, I was required to not only show the postcard upon arrival, I was required to turn it in so I don't have it for verification Perhaps the business can produce it for us The 'profile' was the second attachment: I recall filling out this form prior to entering the seminar "What gift were you offered for coming here today? (bold for emphasis) I indicated the airline vouchers and night stay as was already confirmed in the email from the business that I sent you under separate cover It did not ask what I was offered after I paid for the vouchers...then it would not be gift, it would be a purchase I also note the disclosure at the bottom of the form, but it was my interpretation that the 'applicable taxes, deposits, transportation, gratuiities and any applicable fees' were related to the actual travel, not the attainment of the vouchers The disclosure even refers to the traveler, not the seminar attendee The gift acknowledgement form was the third attachment: This form was given to me to complete AFTER the seminar and I was required to sign it in order to get the actual vouchers I did not feel that once I signed it, the young lady would not give me the voucher that she held in her hand so I did feel that I was signing for receipt of the voucher Once I signed and dated the form, she took the form and gave me the voucher It was then and only then that I found out about the $69/pp fee payable within daysToo late to do anything about it then, other than to make a formal complaint, which is what I'm doing

[redacted] said he had to make $300,in order to pay back $3, He claimed he would refund $1,AFTER I rescinded my my complaint to the Revdex.com He then stated he would refund another $1,after days After reading numerous customer reviews and complaints on various web forums I find [redacted] 's response to be controversial Whomever is in charge at Destination Depot has made promises to refund monies to other claimants, and the company has not followed through on their end of the deal--like usualDue to the deceitful nature of [redacted] 's, via Destination Depot, I have reached out to numerous sources for help I will continue to do so until they pay back $2,969.00--the entire amount they stoleAgain, my friends have nothing to do with this dispute The company may want to change their business policies to reflect a legitimate and trustworthy business model Regards, [redacted] ***

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me I called ###-###-#### today and spoke with *** I gave her my name, address and phone number for the refund As long as they follow thru with the refund, I will be satisfied Thank you

I don't believe they issued a check If they did, I did not get it My address is [redacted] Regards, [redacted] ***

I need a payoff timeline

If she could supply the email to me I would really appreciate it since we have no copy of a email being sentI have enclosed a copy of a postcard that clearly states that " This special promotion for travelers is not sponsored by any specific airlineOffer void where prohibited by lawAll Components of this awards giveaway are fulfilled by a third partycertain restrictions applyRecipient responsible for all applicable taxes and or fessPlease call for details"I have also included a registration form and a git acknowledgement for as well, which both of them state that there are fees to register itAt any point before, during or after the presenation she could of asked what those fees areMost importantly it is part of the marketers script to explain all the qualifications of the presentation and the promotional offerIt is possible that she was told and did not remembered, that does happenI would still propose that flying round trip and days and nights of accommodations for $per person is an excellent value

At his point I do not know what Mr [redacted] is looking for, we offered to pay the $per person and I am surprised that he has rejected the offer since that is what he was asking for to begin with withI did call Mr [redacted] from my cell phoneI was on a business trip and thought that his concerns needed to be handled as soon as possibleI TRIED to explain that the certificates are not from us and that we purchase them thru an outside company and they handle all the travel associated with itHowever, we would cover the fees associated with the certificate because of his concernsIf he sent an email or called a number that was on the certificate that we would not have any way he was knowing that he was upset, since it is a separate companyI did mention to Mr [redacted] that I did feel that his complaint to the Revdex.com was with out merit, since we did not have the opportunity to correct his concernsOur phone records do not show any sort of Messages from Mr [redacted] both from the marketing or customer servicedivisionsSo the phone calls that he made to the marketing division, we have no record off, and furthermore if he called during business hours then a live operator always picks up the phoneIf Mr [redacted] would still like to be compensated for the $per person registration fees we are still willing to cover themBut once again it sounds like Mr [redacted] just wants to air his opinion, which is fine but I wish that he would at least be factual about his statements

I am sorry that Mr [redacted] feels this way and we will be more than happy to cover the $even though we did not receive his moneyIt was sent to The Travel Center which we are not affiliated with except to purchase the certificates from themThey are the ones that do all the fulfillment of the travel not us Will cut him a cashiers check next week on FridayEven though he knew about the fees before he even sat through the presentation, as he mentioned he had done something like this before

If Mr [redacted] would call me I will work with him on the cruiseEven though as I mentioned to Mr [redacted] on the phone, prices in travel change constantly and it is impossible to predict what the actual pricing may beThe prices in the presentation are examples of trips that members have taken or in some cases current pricing depending on the tripWhen I spoke to Mr [redacted] I tried to explain this which he did not want to hearAs I mentioned in the first sentence if Mr [redacted] will give us a call we will try to work something out with him

Since all the postcards are mass produced at the same time, and quality tested before they are addressed, I dought seriously that see would of received one that did not have the disclaimer printed on it not stampedShe is also trying to interpret the disclosure on her check in form in her favor but it clearly states that she would be responsible for all fees, deposits refundable or notShe had no problem when she signed the disclosureI also don't believe that ***'s assistant would say something like that since that is not the caseWe are not associated with any airline or have access to any private information especially which credit card she usesExcept for what she shows upon check in for identification purposesThe airline that is used for the promotional offer is solely based on the destination she choosesNothing moreI do apologize that she feels that she was misled, but we are very specific about what is said and how it is said, this helps prevent problems like thisThat is why the fees are mentioned at the time of setting up the appointment, and again on two separate forms that are signed by the person attending the preaentationWe are a large company and do not hide or misled anyone, we dont have toI still say where can you fly for $and 3/nights of accomidationsAnd if she would like help registering the offer we would be more than happy to assist her with the process

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my dispute Please enter your reason(s) for rejecting the business response below Regards, [redacted] Thank you for your response to this complaint....we will be happy to close this out once check is received

No one at the ever stated that the trip was free, not on the postcard, at the time of booking, or during the presentationThe cost of that she mentions is for all taxes, federal and state, airport surcharges and hotel surchargesI would challenge her to find a 3/night hotel stay nd round trip airfare to any where for less than what she mentioned, including all taxes and surchargesI have included the for that she mentions and it does state that the trip is not supplied by us that it is done thru an outside company and that we do not facilitate any of the travel and that the money is not sent to us that it is sent to them If Mrswould like to call her member services line we can try to help her with this issue with The Travel Center

Thank you ***

He stated that he would be able to pay the $dollar fee but that we were wrong in saying that they're business is responsible for that fee in the first place After he states that this is a promotion provided by another company that they contract through That is my problemThis is a contract they set up This is a promotion that their representatives provide given through their seminars But that they are not aware that the fee is in place and should not be responsible for this I always read my contracts to see what is in them Wouldn't a multimillion dollar corporation do the same? And I did state that I appreciated that they are willing to pay the $dollar fee I do not believe that this is honest business tactics And that is what made me argumentative and unwilling to set back and be told different

In response to Destination Depot's last business response, WHAT REFUND??? As of this minute no refund has been issued as of 11/at 10:a.mWe are in constant touch with Capital One and spoke with a representative in case we missed something and she assured us no refund has been issuedI don't know who issued the refund on 11/and how was it issueWe should have receive it by nowIs it a check sent to me or a refund to my Capital One accountI would like to see what Mr [redacted] sent to Revdex.com as proof that he claims he sentI will be calling you today for a fax number so I can send you all the information from Capital OneWe have all the dated documents and e mails to prove thisNo refund has been issued as of this moment
