[redacted] contracted videography services for November 23rd, 2013 for three (3) hours of coverage per our a la carte pricing at $150 per hour. The contract was completed the week of the wedding so everything was VERY last minute. The videographers were given explicit instructions, by the...

client, to stay "out of sight" and behind the guests and photographer as they were purchased as a "gift" for the bride. informed the client that that style of shooting was not customary and will result in subpar footage. The client insisted that would be OK as long as they had coverage.Upon receipt of the video the client made it clear they were not happy with the quality of the footage. I responded with an apology for their displeasure and that I would do what I could to make them satisfied. I also made sure to inform the client that the videographer was in the middle of a move and would contact me as soon as they had access to their computer. (When the videographer pulled the footage they pointed out how their location during filming was where they were instructed to be.)The client's response was very dismissive as they were seeking a full refund instead of a reedited DVD. However, as you can see on the Revdex.com complaint form, the amount of the refund requested is actually more than the amount paid. The amount paid was $450, while the amount requested is $500.To resolve the matter, I am willing to issue a refund for $100, which would cover the cost of a highlight film. Please keep in mind that the highlight film was not part of the contract, which they approved and signed. The client already has the DVD of footage, so the request for a full refund (or more) is unreasonable.Thank you.Wayne D.

Review: I purchased wedding videography services through Deswert Productions for my sister's wedding on November 23rd, 2013. Wayne Deswert is the owner of the company. It was agreed upon that 2 videographers that work for Wayne would be present at the wedding performing the videography and Wayne himself would do the editing. We agreed upon a modified version of "package number one" which included 2 Cameras (1 Videographer) at the Ceremony and 1 Camera at the Reception 4 Hours of Coverage, Interactive DVD (Blu-Ray Upgrade Available), Highlight Film. The price was $450.

We received the product on approximately May 15th. The main issue is that we received "raw" unedited footage. There was no "highlight film" set to the music we chose, as we had agreed upon. In addition, important events from the wedding were completely missing. The actual footage is extremely poor quality (Very shaky, poor transitions, the videographer forgot to turn on the light on the camera) Also, it appears that the woman videographer's camera was broken or that footage was lost. It was never disclosed to us that there was an issue with the camera. Deswert Productions has severely misrepresented their product by posting samples of their films online that are extremely better quality than the product that was actually received.

I have contacted Wayne on multiple occasions, beginning on May 29th, asking for a refund or remedy to the situation. Our email correspondences are available if needed. Wayne has admitted that we received an unfinished version of the film. However, he has not agreed to a refund and has not attempted to revise the video. Wayne has been extremely hard to contact and typically takes approximately two weeks and multiple emails in order to receive a response. Desired Settlement: I would like a full refund ($500) for the services that we paid for.
