Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: This is not a resolution.
It appears that that the person who responded to this complaint does not have a clear understanding of what occurred.  In response to DeTemple's rebuttal:
1.  3 of YOUR OWN employees observing no leaks, does not necessarily mean that it is so.  Furthermore, your 3 employees observed no leak, the second and final time that the leak was repaired.  If there had been 3 employees that observed no leaks after the first time it was repaired, we would not be having this conversation.
2.  Of course, the slight water damage was done before you arrived.  That is why we called DeTemple initially.  If it had been repaired correctly the first time, there would have been no further (and more extensive) water damage.
3.  If the initially leak was caused by weather conditions, then why did your technician not tell me that he could not repair it because it was not a plumbing issue?  The second time, when your 3 employees came out on 10/6/14, why did you not tell me that this was caused by weather conditions and that it was not something you could repair?  Why did one of your technicians say that the screw valve did not seat properly after the first repair?
4.  I am not trying to accuse DeTemple of something that you did not cause.  This is about you charging me for a leak that you did not repair the first time.  Then charging me for another repair because you did not do it right the first time.  The severe water damage occurred because there were no occupants in this property to monitor the slow leak that was not repaired properly the first time around.

With regard to the additional information you received and per your letter dated September 22, 2015 to DeTemple Company, Inc.:
/ am rejecting the response.
It is clear the customer does not understand - the damage was done before we arrived and it was from some other source than the valve (letter sent to Mr [redacted] dated May 28, 2015).
Our first call to Mr. [redacted] home determined that there was no visible leak from the valve and it was obvious that there had not been a leak internally in the wall but rather down the wall into the tub.
On our second call, Mr. [redacted]. himself, tested the valve and found no leaks.
On our third call, we sent three (3) people to observe that there were no leaks in Mr. [redacted] presence. Water valve, o-rings do not stop/start etc. at will.
We are not at fault. Period.
Everything has been completed by our professional and visual inspection.
