The service office is terrible, the people working their try to do a good job,
but the teller taking payment for service was interrupted four times during my
payment by other employees.
Had a small part that needed replaced under warranty, they did not have the part,
Had to order?? said they would call??
with service complete they left the DEFECTIVE PART DANGLING LOOSE from my mirror??
went inside to voice my concern, SERVICE DIRECTOR was dismissive and confrontational.
Need to find a new Ford dealership [wish xxxxx had a Ford dealership]

Horrible services, racists and they take advantage of the issues

This is not a complaint about the hair stylists but about the absolute indifference and neglect on the part of the management towards customers - loyal customers no less- when something goes wrong. The fact that I have gotten the best haircuts I have ever had at this salon makes the managements' handling of this situation all the more jarring .
Here is what happened: I went to the salon to have my hair colored, and I put on the protective gown as always. After the stylist finished the color, the color assistant was washing out the color from my hair, and told me that she accidentally spilled water across the back collar of my cotton button-down shirt, but that it would be fine and would dry when I sat under the drier to dry my hair.
Without inspecting the shirt, I left the salon to meet my friend at an event we were attending at a museum. She complimented my hair and then pointed out a massive brown stain running the entire length of my back collar. I immediately called the salon, and spoke to a manager who told me that it was not their responsibility, and that I should have taken off my shirt. I had never before been told I should go bare-breasted when getting my hair colored, but if that had been the initial suggestion, I would have obliged rather than having my shirt - my very favorite James Perse shirt no less! -- ruined. After I pressed her she said she would have to speak to another manager, and that someone would call me back the next day. No one called me.
In the meantime, I tried and tried to remove the stain from the shirt first using Windex with ammonia then Oxyclean.
So over the course of the following week, I called daily, and was repeatedly put off by a different manager who told me the salon would do nothing. When I protested and asked for some compensation, the manager said she would have to call me back. But never did. I NEVER received a call back.
No refund for the color, no offer to pay for dry cleaning, no offer for any compensation whatsoever. Nothing! Not even a call back. So my $210 shirt is ruined, I spent a week trying to remove the stain with no luck, and James Perse doesn't even make that color/style any more.

Review: For Valentines Day my husband decided to treat me to a haircut at my favorite salon that specializes in cutting curly hair. Because of the price I don't go that often, but this was supposed to be a day of pampering. My day however turned out not to be as great as I had envisioned.

When I made my appointment over the phone, I explained my hair type and my hair needs and the male receptionist recommended Judy, explaining that she would be perfect for my needs. Finally, my appointment day arrives, 2/**/16. We had the whole day planned, including a baby sitter for my infant daughter and plans afterward for dinner. I arrived at the salon and met with Judy, explaining to her what I wanted to do with my hair: I wanted to keep the length but add some volume. She reassured me by saying something like "Don't worry, we'll get you sexy big hair. You're highlights look amazing"...She cut my hair and then brought me to Betty to wash, style and dry. Everything seemed ok..

After this process I couldn't believe what I saw. I was shocked and looked into the mirror for quite some time, trying to understand what just happened, what I was looking at. My hair was ruined: The top of my hair and the front pieces/bangs were cut so short that they wouldn't curl. It looked like a wiry nest with a ton of product worked into it. Embarrassed and confused, I walked through the salon to meet my husband in the front and as I passed everyone I noticed that they we're staring at me, and as I looked back at them, their hair looked professionally done. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. I felt embarrassed. When I finally made it to the front of the salon, my husband looked horrified. "You look like you just rolled out of bed with a hangover." I just wanted to crawl under a rock. I felt that I looked hideous, and struggled to fight back the tears that were coming. At this point, my husband and I approached one of the girls at the front desk reception area and I said " I really don't like my hair. It's terrible. Can someone please rewash my hair, and I'll style it myself. I just can't leave like this." My husband then said "I'm not having this! They better fix this! This isn't my wife! She's got nice hair! I'm not having this!" I turned to the girl and said quietly "I'm sorry he's upset," to which she replied, "oh no, it's okay, it's cute." The girl then went and informed a short older woman in the salon, who had glasses, short curly hair and spoke with an accent, that I was unhappy. They asked me to sit, at which point a male stylist with another apprentice was brought to me by the short woman with the curly hair, to attempt to correct my damaged haircut. I had, prior to approaching the front desk, walked around the salon, in an attempt to find Judy to inform her that I was not happy with my hair, but could not find her. The curly haired woman then said "don't worry. They're going to fix it." I said "I can't with this hair. I just can't leave." The gentleman stylist then said "Yeah, it looks a little pulled out." I apologized at this point, but I still felt embarrassed by my hair, and the fact that I had to complain, which I've never had to do before ever in my life, and I just didn't know what else to do. To which the male stylist said "Don't worry honey, we're good." I was then washed and restyled by the gentleman stylist's apprentice, and then placed under the dryer again. About 15-20 minutes later, Judy reappears and asked "What happened? No good?" To which I said, fighting back the tears, "my curls are gone! The top of my hair will not curl!" At this point, Judy attempted to re-curl my hair by scrunching and scrunching my hair with hair product, but my hair would not curl. I was heartbroken. To make matters worse, Judy then said "I don't know what else to do. I think it's your highlights. The foil damaged your hair." And then she simply walked away. I was horrified. I had to then re-walk through the salon again with all eyes of the other patrons on me, mortified. My husband looked horrified, and could only shake his head and put his face in his hands. I could see that he too was extremely upset. Apparently, the highlights that Judy complimented me on, was now the scapegoat for her mistake.

Let down completely, I walked back to the front desk, ashamed, where I found was my husband, the curly haired woman with the accent, two other customers, and four other employees at the desk. More eyes to look at my horrible new haircut. I was so embarrassed. I felt that it looked like a mullet: There were short pieces on top that just won't curl, and long hair in the back. Now the curly, short-haired accented woman asked "Is everything alright now?" I told her "No! No, everything is NOT okay now! Look at my hair!!! It's horrible! I didn't come in looking like this! I came in looking better than this!" To which she replied, "I'm sorry there's nothing else we can do. We've styled you twice. Unfortunately, we'll have to charge you for this visit." I was baffled. My husband, who is extremely hard of hearing, and watched all of this unfold, was livid, asking "We're going to have to pay for this?!?! It's [redacted] up" motioning at my hair. The short curly haired woman insisted to my husband that he should lower his voice, while another employee asked him "if he talks to his mother like that". The short curly haired woman then stated that we would need to pay before leaving or else they would have to call the police. I couldn't believe this. Here I was, the victim of a horrible haircut and terrible customer service, but now I was also going to be robbed of $150 plus tax. I still am astounded. Our plans for Valentine's day was ruined. We could not go out for the romantic dinner he had planned for us because I was simply too embarrassed to be seen out in public like this. To make matters worse, I just started a new position at work which requires me to be around a lot of people all day long, as opposed to my old job where I could've hid at my desk. When I asked to speak to a manager or someone in charge, I was informed that there was no one in charge at the salon that day, and that any complaints would have to be forwarded to you, and that regardless, I needed to pay for "the services" that were rendered that day. Please put yourself in my shoes for a moment: You go in for a treat at a place that specializes in my hair type, excited, ready to be pampered and to come out looking like a million bucks, only to leave looking like a big disappointment. And then to have to pay for it, while being mistreated. I do not appreciate having to pay for mistreatment. I feel that a refund in this situation, in full, is warranted. Your staff member messed up my hair by cutting it incorrectly. I pay for a specialist/professional to cut my hair, and instead was given an amateur who clearly did not do right by me, who additionally insulted my intelligence by then trying to blame my highlights for her poor performance, which she had only moments earlier complimented me on. I'm not a fool, or a novice. I have used Deva products for years, and have had my hair done at the salon many times before. I know a bad haircut and bad customer service when I see it. I want a refund, and will be filling a complaint with the New York State Licensing Center as well the Revdex.com. I have included a "before" picture of myself, as well as one "after" my Deva-cut.

I hope that you can understand my situation, and the dilemma I am faced with. Please help to rectify this situation for a loyal customer.

Sincerely,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: Full refund and apligy
