Review: I took my car to Devic Automotive shop that I was referred to I explained the issue that I was having with my car [redacted] inthen turn told me that he normally charge $85.00 dollars for his diagnoses but he would charge me $60.00 doller I in turn said ok lets do it . Iwaited around the shop for a short while [redacted] did his so called diagnoses. [redacted] then told me that my intake manifold gasket needed to be replaced I said ok what is that going to cost me he spent a short while on the phone with the auto parts store getting some prices for the car parts. he then told mr it would be a 4 hour job and that his charge is $85.00 an hour , with the parts costing total of $106.48 I then in return asked well does the diagnose charge go toward the repairs he said no I then said every mechanic that I have ever worked with in my life have always put the money towards the repairs if they do the work but in his only case I had ever known it was no. so I said ok lets fix the problem and he asked me could I put something down I had $200.00 cash on me so I give it to him and he give me my receipt that was 4-3-2015 when my car was supposenly done he called me and I came to pick up my car when I arrived [redacted] told me the problem was fixed I paid him drove off on my way to work when my car started to show me the same problem that I just had paid him for I know then that he had not fix the problem that I paid him for I called him he said bring it back I did he started telling me I need to replace another part plus a gas leak also and I'm telling him I paid for the problem that I give to him to fix for me then we went back and forth disagreeing I told him put my car back together and I left drove 2 blocks and my car just died. I called a tow to get it to another shop where they diagnosed it and its the problem its still having. [redacted] didn't fix the problem he found a more expensive job to do on my car that wasn't the problem to fix so that he can make more money. now the problem is fix by another shop.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $400.00 THAT I PAID FOR HIS missed diagnoses and his reparing something that was not the reason my car was brought to him, plus the amount of my tow in the amount of $95.00 aslo if you need to talk with the other shop that working on my car as of today here there number [redacted] ask for [redacted] he can tell you what they done to my car [redacted].
