Review: I recently visited a store by the name of Device Repair at 222 Michelson Drive in Irvine, Ca. I purchased a wall charger (9.99) for my iphone 4s and less than a week after that initial purchase I went in a second time,on March 31, 2014, and purchased a set of headphones (9.99) for myself and a iphone 5 usb charger (4.99) for a coworker. At each transaction the same woman who rang me up asked me to sign for my purchase and explained that if there was anything wrong to bring the reciept and merchandise back. I came to discover later on that week that the headphones were much too short when I tried to use them at the gym and the charger I bought on the previous transaction had stopped working. Today, April 8, 2014,I called the business and explained my issues and that I didnt have the reciepts for my transactions and wondered if they would accept the return if I stopped by on my lunch time, the man who answered said 'sure bring the devices in w/in an hour" I stopped by and was told by the manager that I needed the reciept even after the man on the phone said it was fine. The manager was very condiscending and said he didnt have to refund me and would not look up the reciept but changed his mind and decided to search "out of the kindness of his heart" he found one reciept for the headphones and iphone 5 usb charger and tried to force me to accept the usb refund in place of the wall charger acknowledging that each item- usb vs. wall charger differed in price. I declined to take the refund for the charger but said I wanted the headphones refunded. He then refused and pointed out line item 1 on his "Product Invoice" saying he doesnt accept returns or refunds. There is no signage anywhere in the shop expressing no returns/refund/all sales final. I was decieved that my signature was to authorize the charge on my debit card. He ended the conversation with threatening to call the police on me if I said another word in opposition to his refusal.Desired Settlement: I am requesting a full refund for both the headphones and wall charger.I am also requesting full compliance with CA consumer affairs Civil Code section 1723, in that the store to be required to post signage expressly saying all sales are final/no returns/exchanges, to avoid misleading customers by saying the signature requested on the reciept is to authorize sale and to require explanation that the signature requested is for theagreement/acknowledgment by customer to paragraph listed on reciept
