They are refusing to give me my $deposit back after I called to let them know I did not want to take a one bed, one bath apartmentThe only thing that I filled out and signed was the $application to give them my information to be able to do a background check, credit check, and other personal informationThat application did not have any information what so ever about the depositSo I wrote a check for $on May 4th so they could hold the apartmentI was never informed by paper or verbally I had 72-hours to take back my depositSo today May 18th I tried to cancel and take back my deposit and then they threw me the application agreement which I had never seen with the deposit information on it after they told me they would not give me my refund back

previously attached agreement is part of the application process you would read when you are completing the application.  It is not something we hand out, because it is part of what you are reading and agreeing to while completing the application.  Your mother's application stated the same 72 hr terms for the security deposit next to her signature on the co-signer application.  I emailed her a copy as well.  The application fee is what is required for the screening and the deposit holds the apartment for you.  You submitted the application fee and deposit separately.  At no point did you lead our office to believe you were not committed to taking the unit until yesterday.  The unit was not marketed to anyone else since you had paid the deposit.  It is non-refundable.  Please confirm you do not wish to take the unit.
