Review: On 01/**/2015 I took my vehicle to Devonshire Repair for service. I explained to the manager/owner the reason for my visits which were: my vehicle was shaking; the engine light continuously appears; and when I put the key in the ignition the car takes a long time to start. The manager told me to leave the car at the shop and he will run a diagnostic test.

After the diagnostic test, I was notified by the manager that the problems were related to the 02 sensors in my vehicle which needed to be replaced. The total cost for this repair was $640.28. When I took my car home later that day, I noticed the shaking did stop but the other issues still exist (delayed start and engine light).

I went back to Devonshire Auto Center on 01/**/15 and informed the manager and his son (two mechanics) the other problems still existed. After checking the vehicle again, I was told I needed to replace my car starter and an oil change. The cost for this service was $ 650.25. The problems with my vehicle still lingered after these two repairs from Devonshire. I went back to explain the situation but they were annoyed and agitated by my presence which explains why I was treated very rudely. They told me to get the receipts so they can check the service that was done on the vehicle because apparently they do not keep receipts. When I came back with the receipts, the manager disappeared or possibly was avoiding me. I waited for hours and none of the staffs there helped me.

I encounter additional problems after having my car service by Devonshire. On 02/**/15 my vehicle did not start, my son who is also a mechanic came to check the vehicle and noticed the battery was loose and was missing a screw. This could have happened in the middle of a bridge. I had to go [redacted] to replace the missing screw to secure the car’s battery. Underneath the engine panel was not properly close and the mechanic left their gloves inside the engine compartment and my vehicle was giving back to me with oil residue all over.Desired Settlement: I want a refund for the second service $650.25 since the repair was inferior and caused unnecessary hassle, time wasting, and being treated with poor customer service.

Review: On 06/**/14 I purchased an alternator and battery from the for mentioned business. And was told that between the two items I would have a total of five years as far as the warranty was concerned; on 11/**/15 my car stopped running due to both the alternator and battery going bad not even two years yet. When I went to the shop to have the warranty honored. I was met with a different story than what I was promised. This forced me to have to pay out of pocket else where. I feel this matter needs attention, and that this business should be investigated for fraud. Thank you.Desired Settlement: I will take half of what I originally paid to the business for these items as a settlement. Thank you.

Review: November [redacted], 2013Revdex.comI am making a formal complaint, against Devonshire Discount Tires located on [redacted].On Saturday November [redacted] I left my vehicle for a simple oil change, upon returning some hrs. later, I was advised of numerous work that needed to be done to my Chrysler Pacifica. I started my vehicle and immediately noticed that there was something wrong. Instead of returning to Devonshire, I decided to take to my regular mechanicThe car has been out of order since Saturdaytoday the mechanic finally had an opportunity to test the vehicle to see why it was making such noises. The issue was that during the oil change, Devonshire attempted a tire rotation on my vehicle and inadvertently did not attach the tires to the vehicle correctly, leaving me in a dangerous situation and without a vehicle and unable to get to work without using out of pocket funds.Upon contacting Devonshire, I spoke with [redacted], who stated that he was the manager, his demeanor was less than mediocre to say the least, he was rude, very unhelpful, and gave me the impression that he was not absorbing the facts that I am stating and unable to assist and provide customer service he also refused to acknowledge that his employee had indeed done something wrong, he in fact directed me to return with the vehicle to the repair shop. Negating, the fact that the car was unsafe to drive.I incurred out of pocket expenses and would like to be reimbursed due to the lack of workmanship of Devonshire. Monday Tuesday and Wednesday I had to spend $30.00 to get to the Metro-North in Fleetwood to get to my place of employment in [redacted].Total: $90.00I had to pay the mechanic $200.00 to correct the problem so that I now may drive my vehicle.Desired Settlement: I request that the business be responsible for my out of pocket expenses....I have all related receipts.
