Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below [My wife was not told that she was signing up for an ongoing service agreementThe sales person told her that they were stopping in for a one time courtesy service and that the credit card info was in case we decided to keep their serviceThe sales person did not allow her to read the contract she signed, as he assured her there would be no chargeWe did not agree to have any amount charged to our card, nor are we "OK" with having these charges taken outWhen I called to complain the [redacted] employee apologized for the misunderstanding and told me that the account would be cancelledShe did not mention anything about owing money or sending us to collectionI realize that a contract was signed, however it was signed under pretenses and secured with deceptive business practicesIf [redacted] agrees to forgo any current charges and stop the collection efforts, I will not attempt to recoup anything that has already been paidIf the collection efforts continue, I will file a lawsuit for the entire amount paid/owed, plus damages.] Regards, [redacted] ***

Case ID; * ***As stated in our prevjous correspondence, the account has been cance1led.,however, the amount of $l is stHJ owed.PAGE 01/02The initial service was discounted in the amount of $with the provisionthat the customer keeps the service for a mqnth period, the amount of$needs to be reimbursed if the account cancels within that monthperiod,The account was cancelled at *** *** request before the 12-month perjodwas over, therefore the amount of$that was discounted from the initials~rvice needs to be reimbursed to our companyAs soon as this amount hasbeen reimbursed to us, any and all collection efforts will cease

***Re; ** ***On 7/29/2014, one of our summer sales representatives talked to *** *** and sheagreed to sign up with us for a quarterly pest control serviceAt this time she signed theservice agreement (copies available upon request) and also signed the section indicatingthat she would
like to go on "autopay"*** *** wrote her credit card number, including the 3-digit security code, in the appropriate spot and was informed that theinitial service had been discounted from $to $because she had signed on for a yearperiod and if she cancelled before the one year period the discounted amount ($114)would have to be paid backThe credit card was charged $on 811/after the initialservice had been performed on 7/30/14.The second service was rendered on 11/17/and the same credit card was charged there!:,TUlar quarterly service price of$for that serviceOn 11/24/*** *** calledour office and informed one of our offi.ce pen;onnel that his wife had not realized that shehad signed up for an annual agreement and that he wanted to cancel the accountWeinformed *** *** that we would cancel his account but because he was canceling theservice before the end of the year agreement he would need to reimburse our companythe amount of$that had been discounted from the initial serviceThis is the amountthat is now owed to our company. So, in rebuttal to *** *** statement Twill say, if *** *** was offered a "free onetimeservice'' why did she sign what is clearly stated as a yearly agreement? Why di.d shegive us her credit card details and sign the authorization for autopay? Why did theyaccept the second service and why did they make a payment for the second service? The account was cancelled the day that *** *** called our office (11/24/2014) but theamount of$that was discounted from the initial service needs to be reimbursed to ourcompanyAs soon as this amount has been reimbursed to us, any and all collectionefforts wi cease.PAGE 01/

[My wife was not told that she was signing up for an ongoing service agreement. The sales person told her that they were stopping in for a one time courtesy service and that the credit card info was in case we decided to keep their service. The sales person did not allow her to read the contract she signed, as he assured her there would be no charge. . We did not agree to have any amount charged to our card, nor are we "OK" with having these charges taken out. When I called to complain the [redacted] employee apologized for the misunderstanding and told me that the account would be cancelled. She did not mention anything about owing money or sending us to collection. I realize that a contract was signed, however it was signed under false pretenses and secured with deceptive business practices. If [redacted] agrees to forgo any current charges and stop the collection efforts, I will not attempt to recoup anything that has already been paid. If the collection efforts continue, I will file a lawsuit for the entire amount paid/owed, plus damages.]

[The contract was misrepresented by the representative who knocked on our door and signed under false pretenses. He told my wife that the service was free and that signing the document was just standard protocol for his corporate office. If the contract would have been properly presented to us, it would not have been signed.]
