Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: Brian, Owner of Dewhitt's is incorrect in his statements below: Firstly, the driver called us the morning of 3/alerting us they would be over to pick up the appliances between noon and 2pm We arrived at the house at noon, and the driver had already been to the house and left Our painters were at our house and let the drivers in Brian called Joe at 12:05pm, telling him that he would not accept the return Therefore, the drivers arrived earlier than scheduled, that is why we weren't there (phone records can be verified) Secondly, as stated previously, we were instructed by the drivers to inspect the appliances for any scratches etcupon their delivery Therefore, when the dishwasher and oven unit were delivered, the drivers unpackaged the units and allowed us to look for defects Thirdlythe oven unit weighs lbsand was too heavy to move to a protected location Per the Installation Instructions, B, it states remove two shipping screws which separates the two units Brian is incorrect - there are two units, not one, per installation instructions The two units are held together with shipping screws We also removed the door, which is recommend in section 4A, to protect it from scratches Also, we needed to stabilize the unit so it wouldn't tip over since it wasn't being installed right away None of the appliances have been installed and used and the manufacturer's warranty is not voided Fourthly, Brian states the microwave combination unit which comes from the factory in one piece and is meant to be installed like that is incorrect He needs to review the product he is selling See Installation Instructions for inch Electric Built In Wall Ovens The dishwasher was in it's original box, therefore, we don't understand why that wasn't returned when the driver arrived to pick up appliances [redacted] has the items and had we purchased there, we wouldn't be having these issues because they have a satisfaction guarantee policy...and we are DEFINITELY not satisfied with Dewhitts We purchased the kitchen appliances as one package, with one price Refunding us means refunding the entire purchase Sincerely, [redacted]

We drove to the customers home in good faith to pickup the appliances and issue a refundIt was strange that the customers weren't there and never did show upWe had been assured the appliances had just been taken out of the box and otherwise never installed and in original conditionUpon
arriving our driver noticed something was very wrong and immediately notified meThe wall oven microwave combination unit, which comes from the factory in one piece and is meant to be installed like that, had been disassembled and separated into piecesThis voids the manufacturers warrantyIn addition the doors had been removedI've been in the appliance business for years and never seen this beforeAnd I still have no idea why they would have taken it apart like thatNonetheless there's no way I can refund for dissembled appliances which the warranty has been voidedCustomer told me there was no problem getting the additional matching appliances from Home DepotI am perfectly willing to refund for the appliances they have not taken delivery
