To Whom It May Concern [redacted] claims we damaged his shirt while using our service. First and foremost I would like to state that [redacted] did not complain about his shirt upon pick-up. [redacted] returned to our store a week or so later and complained about his damaged shirt. It is the...

customers responsibility to check his or her order before leaving the premises. In my 5 years of transporting clothes for our cleaner, we have never had an incident of a piece of clothing getting snagged. [redacted] wanted a $100 credit towards his account and also said and I quote " I'm not asking for cash, I'm asking for credit. You guys can make that in no time." After further inspection into [redacted] account we noticed [redacted] spends roughly $100 give or take at our cleaners per year. Since we had no way of telling who was at fault for the damage of Mr Wiggins' shirt, we could not agree to pay [redacted] the amount he had requested. We offered [redacted] a $25 credit towards our cleaners because we did not want to lose him as a customer. [redacted] stated on his complaint letter "They eventually acknowledged was destroyed due to their operations". We never acknowledged this. If the damage of [redacted] shirt was our fault we would have gladly paid [redacted] the full amount of the shirt. I would like to state we told [redacted] we can send the shirt to a specialist who inspects damaged clothing to see who was at fault of the shirt, This is something [redacted] did not want to progress with. Sincerely Lester H**

I am rejecting this response because:
That is an utter fabrication of the truth. I have never had an issue with a cleaner and they tie the hangers together in a manner which would not allow one to check all of the items, especially when considering they are wrapped in plastic. I store the items in plastic until wearing, at which point I noticed the hole in my garment. When offering to receive a $100 credit for my shirt I was trying to be reasonable seeing that asking for $100 cash from a business such as this would probably be hard for them to do.  They informed me that my business was not valued and would only offer $25. I spend far more than $100 per year on my clothing. In fact, that visit alone ended up costing nearly $50. What I find funny is this individual admitted the snag was their fault on the phone only to deny it now due to publishing in the public forum. Why else would they offer me a $25 credit if they truly believed they were not at fault. You will see in my attached pictures that I noticed the hole and stains after removing the plastic. I'm sure they will try to deny the stains as well, but that is yet another thing the individual admitted to over the phone. I find this treatment as both a reasonable customer and Veteran disgusting. You should be ashamed of the way you lie to customers. Take a look at their ratings across the various platforms, you will see they have consistent issues (They own and do the actual work at "Village Cleaners at the Hills in Bedminster NJ which has an average Google rating of 1.8 stats...coincidence?
