Jeremy Dexter, owner of Dexter Painting met with me twice at my residence in ***, Ohio just outside *** *** and I signed a contract for Dexter Painting to paint the entire exterior of our house He required a 35% deposit in order to begin the work I paid him just over $2,in person and have a signed contract by him that he would complete the work prior to 10/1/ From that point on, I have never heard another word from Jeremy despite me calling, texting and ultimately having our attorney send a Demand Letter to Jeremy Dexter requesting our deposit to be returned due to lack of the work being completed per the contract Jeremy Dexter acknowledged receipt of the Demand Letter by calling our attorney to explain he was running behind on his projects and our attorney told him he needed to contact me with that information He has failed to do soI contacted the Knox County Sheriff's Department and when I inquired about my course of action they confirmed that they ha
