[redacted] is one of our valued customers who trusted in us and decided to give us her businessRegardless of the technical issues, we appreciate her and would like to take time to explain our side of the storyWhen shepurchased her sofa and chair, our sales person helped her and she was interested in the sofaHowever it is not our job to go to customers house for measurementsWe assume that when customers place an order with us, they knows their measurementsFor customers who are unsure, we hold the order till they have done their measurements and let us know that they're good to goThen we place their orderThis was not the case with [redacted] And we do not promise customers that our guys will fit the sofa in their houseThat would sound extremely odd.When sofa was here, we called her and gave her the good news that her Sofa was here and we can deliver it on SundayWhen the guys delivered the Sofa, they saw that the sofa would not fit her house and they decided notto damage the sofa or [redacted] 's wallsThey brought the sofa back and we gave [redacted] a call at our earliest convenience with options to help her out with this situationWe offered her to take the sofa back, even though it is a special order in her favorite color and everything For more detail regarding special order items, we would like to refer you to our invoiceI will add a copy of [redacted] 's invoice to this letter which also states that the sofa would be delivered in approximately - weeks and she read and signed it.Finally, we think [redacted] was very much interested in the sofa and wanted it in her house at any costBut unfortunately our guys could not fit the sofa in her houseRegardless we would like to show our understanding for this situationWe still want to offer [redacted] the option to come to our store and do a re-selectionBut we will have to charge her the 30% restocking fee since it is a special orderTo keep [redacted] satisfied and make her feel well treated, we will not charge her $for delivery and set up when she comes in for re-selectionWe think this is very fair and are looking forward to welcome [redacted] with a cup of coffee soon in our showroom.Regards,Mort
