I stand by my original response to [redacted] ' first letter of complaintThere is no logic, and there are no facts in either of her letters of complaintsI truly do feel badly that she is an unsatisfied customer, but I already offered to fix her hair (which she declined), and I already gave her a full refund on all servicesThere is nothing else I can do for herAll of the evidence I presented in my first response to [redacted] (the use of the right types of brushes/formulas/diffusers/etc) are truth and fact based, which I believe the final decision must be based on (not on emotion)Please feel free to contact me at any time for further questions or clarification.-Erica G [redacted]

A consultation with hairdresser Ericka objective:
To confirm hairdresser is experienced in cutting/ styling curly hair
Outcome of consultation:
1) Stylist stated her hair is curly and she is a master stylist assures me she is very capable
2) hairdresser to choose a warm hair color to complement my skin tone
3) Hairdresser to trim hair to area of clavicle
4) Hairdresser indicated and agreed to cut hair to balance facial features
and frame face with curls
My complaints are;
My hair was pulled hard when she attempted to go through it with a brush.it's obvious to use a wide tooth comb or pick
The hair was colored black,like hers
My hair was cut short on hairline at my neck which curled up to my ears when dry
The layer above that was trimmed leaving it inches longer
The layers on top cut to inches.THe result is a wedge which stands out on each sidethe hair was cut exactly the opposite for balancing my featuresit is comical.**It will take 8-years for my ha

 Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: It is common knowledge that curly hair as curly as mine is never brushed with any kind of brush. in spite of the fact I told her I use a pick she continued to use the brush, and yanked my hair so hard that my head was pulled around as she brushed. She brushed from top to bottom creating more tangles. Hair that is curly or entangled is combed from the ends of the hair up. The man on the phone said he wanted to know how he could help but didn't allow me to speak. He interrupted me continuously and finally laughed and said he heard ne say such and such..HE WAS NOT PRESENT IN THE SALON AT ANY TIME I WAS THERE.The business owner is attempting to discredit me by intimimating I was bothering her by going into her store several times. I had been in her store a total of 3 times. For the consultation, the appointment, and returned once to her the result of her handiwork.Clearly she recalls nothing that was said during the consultation. She had put her hands on my chest to show where she would cut it. I agreed to that, which was just below the clavicle She asked what look i'm intereseted in and I said " a polished look"She did a deep cut into my hair, while it was wet. that is a very big mistake. . For a "polished look she cut the bottom rows of my hair to 4 inches, the next rows around my head 12 inches, and the top 4 inches. Then as you never should do with curly hair she used a blow dryer. The result was huge 'wings' to the sides of my head a flat top. In short a Bozo the Clown hair cut. She doesn't recall that I said I want my face to be framed with curls, or that I wanted a POLISHED LOOK. She doesn't recall putting her hands on my chest to show where she would cut there hair to. She doesn't recall the pain she caused with the brush, or how many times I was in her store. She only recalls using a diffusser, ( which also blows air also.  The only difference is that it blows air covering a wider area of hair) She doesn't recall using a blow dryer at all. .She wasn't present when her worker offended and bullied me yet she knows he spoke professionally. Should we consider the possibility that she was too rushed, and had too little sleep to function? But wouldn't a MASTER hairdresser be more conscientious? What she cannot deny is that she cut my hair in the most unflattering way possible, BY ANYONE'S STANDARDS. AND not according to our 'consultation clearly because she recalls none of it.'. She cannot deny the fact that if she had done even a half way decent job I wouldn't feel as I do. My feelings and complaints are legitimate. The best she can do in her defense is to deny everything, making it abundantly clear I am not a valued customer. Perhaps she feels for someone as old as I am it really doesn't matter, I will still be old, and therefore ugly or no longer a woman.  I should not care, because 'it really doesn't matter for an older woman'. Why else would I be treated in such a cavalier manner? Even by a man that wasn't present at all.I have been to 3 salons and all 3 told me there is nothing they can do other than put a product on it, or buy wigs. Matching weaves to my hair, I'm told is not possible.My hair will not grow out for another 10 years and there is nothing that can be done. SHE RUINED MY HAIR PERMANENTLY. I MAY NOT HAVE HAIR IN TEN YEARS ..I MAY NOT BE AMONG THE LIVING. My acquaintances look down or look away. YES it is THAT bad. How do you think I am going to feel about having to speak in front of four congregations? Do I wear a hat? A scarf makes me look like a gypsy, which BTW caused bank tellers to look worried. I was compelled to explain my appearance.I need wigs, and very soon.This is not forgivable, even if she admits her errors. Regards,

To whom it may concern:This is in response to [redacted]' complaints about her services she received at Now Hair Studio by Erica G[redacted].I feel very badly when any customer is unsatisfied in my business. Customer Service and satisfaction is my number one goal in my business. When [redacted]...

first came to Now Hair Studio on 5/18/16 for a consultation I spoke with her about giving her a warmer brown hair color, and a more modern/layered/curly hair cut that would graze her shoulders. She told me to do whatever I thought would be flattering, and said she was ready for a change. She said she was excited, and booked her appointment for the following week 5/25/16.I have attached several pages of explanations of tools/techniques/and color formulas that were used on [redacted]' hair on the day of 5/25/16.The 1st attached page describes the brush that was used. The 2nd attached page describes the color formula that was used. The 3rd attached page describes the average rate of human hair growth. The 4th attached page describes the drying tool and technique used. The 5th attached page shows how much she was charged, and then how much she was later refunded.The 6th attached page shows when she came in for her consultation. The 7th attached page shows when she came in for the actual services.To explain and defend myself further, I would like to mention that I was very accommodating and showed great concern when said she was unhappy at the end of the service. I offered to cut her hair using a different layering technique, I offered to re-wash and re-style her hair, which [redacted] took me up on. When [redacted] still claimed to be unsatisfied at the end of the second haircut, I apologized profusely and offered for her to see another stylist in the Salon that would change her hair in any way that she wanted for no extra charge, or a full refund. She opted for the full refund.[redacted] called the salon numerous times between the 27th and 28th of May. When she states in her complaint that I "wouldn't take her calls" it was because I was out of town, in Pittsburgh those days. The salon manager, Vernon M[redacted], spoke with her while I was away. Mr. M[redacted] apologized that she was still unhappy but she chose the full refund and there is nothing else we can offer her.My staff, and myself included, are very skilled, educated, and up to date with cutting/styling/coloring techniques. And we all consider customer service and professionalism to be first a foremost priority. I pride myself in having a staff of this caliber, and I know [redacted] was treated professionally, with honesty, with care and concern; never with attitude, grief, or disrespect. I feel badly that she was an unsatisfied customer, but there is nothing else my staff or myself can provide for her.Please contact me if you have further questions about the situation. Thank you for your time and consideration.Erica G
