In Response to Case # ***Customer Purchased *** ** on July 28th, - Before purchase prior to the 28th of July, Vehicle was looked at, Driven, and both Price and Terms were talked about and agreed upon with husbandWe let the husband know about our Buyers Guide terms (AS/IS) and what
after party companies we have in place to assist with a warranty 3-days later both husband and wife purchase the Audi A4, Buyers Guide (AS/IS) paperwork is signed, and warranty paperwork is signed. All of which customer has copies to show.Once we were aware that the customer was unhappy with their purchase claiming there was no way the vehicle should have passed inspection - we offered to have the customer speak with the mechanic who inspected the vehicle so that we could get whatever issues they were dealing with resolved. The customer declined the offer, and said that they did not want to do thatThe customer accused the Dealership of Bad Selling Practices, however we noted over the phone to the customer that we have done everything according to Virginia Law Requirements not stepping outside of thatWe restated all the paperwork they agreed to and signed off on, and again offered to have the issues that were in question gone over with the Mechanic Shop who inspected the vehicle Again the customer declined.It is an unfortunate situation as we do not like having unhappy/disgruntle customers thinking we wronged them in any way - we were very forth coming with the customers about it being as used vehicle that is AS/IS, and encouraged them to purchased an after market warranty in the event something happened with the Engine, Transmission, All Wheel Drive - and whatever else the warranty company covered. Our agreement to go over said issues with the customer and the Mechanic still stands.*** *** *** ** ***

I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.We cannot have their mechanic look at the car, since it is currently broken down in New Jersey (where our son attends school) and there is no way to bring it down here.  The car does not run and cannot run without major repairs.  For a car to break down so severely after only 4 days is unacceptable.  Again, I am attaching a copy of the action plan by the Audi dealership in NJ.

Review: We purchased a used car from this auto seller after being told the car had passed inspection and was in excellent shape. After bring it home, we noticed that the air conditioner had stopped working. Then the sunroof got stuck. On the third day, we tried to start the car and it would not. We had to call roadside assistance and have the car rowed to the closest shop. The service company found the following:Found corroded connections batt and starterFound all vacuum lines broken, rotted, disconnected or plugged upReplace ALL vacuum lines on engineFound A/C compressor harness routed incorrectly serp belt tore harness perform wiring repair and re-route harnessAfter wiring repair test A/C system for charge and leaksFound engine oil leakFound transmission fluid leakFound engine coolant leakWhen we contacted the seller, they stated that car had no problems and that according to VA law, they were not responsible for false selling practicesDesired Settlement: We would like a refund on the car since it can not be used. We are out $3500 and the car is useless.
