DFW Fence Doctor was hired to install a new 6-foot chain link fenceMy primary specification was that there would be no gaps larger than inches between the posts and the gates so that my small dogs could not get outI came home to find gaps of to inches by each gateThis issue was resolved the next day, but I then noticed that they had installed two different styles of gatesI brought this to owner *** ***'s attention, and he stated that he had a gate left over from a prior job and didn't think I would mindThis issue was also resolved, but these issues should have been a sign that I would have to personally stay on top of any job I asked him to doHe assured me that he and his company were reliable, and we began discussing additional projects at my houseI sent him photos of a patio cover and flooring that I would like for him to bid onHe gave me a price and assured me that the finished project would look like the cover and flooring we discussedInstead of delivering flooring with large irregular patterns stamped in the concrete, I came home to find squares stamped in the concrete, my air conditioning unit pad broken, and my sprinkler system cutThey had taken down a portion of the fence to get equipment in, and when they put it back up, it was loose and sagging at the bottomI pointed this out, and it still has not been fixedWe agreed to leave the pattern as delivered with a discountWhen the concrete was stained, the workers left footprints in the stainI pointed this out to Mr ***, and he had them come backThey fixed the footprints, but left the outline of a tin can in the stainThis has still not been fixedI specifically requested a tin roof on the patio cover, but after the structure was built (taller and with less pitch than I requested) he informed me that he couldn't find anyone to install the tin roof because the job was too smallI had to hire another company to cover the structure when they were replacing my roofI also had requested closed sides on the cover, which were initially not built on the structureWhen I pointed this out, he increased the price by almost $In summary, Mr*** did not deliver products to my specifications, and when corrections were requested, he increased the pricingHe promised discounts for errors made, but then added them back into the invoice for other items that were in the original request but not completedHe hires some reliable and talented people, but does not oversee the project or give them clear directionHe seems to forget who is paying for the project and is rude and condescending when errors are pointed outThe projects he completes may be of good quality, but they will not necessarily be what you thought you were gettingOther consumers should be very careful that you are getting what you request and what he bidsBe aware that you need to oversee the project every step of they way, because Mr*** does not
