Review: We signed a ten year agreement for monthly alarm service for $165 per month, beginning August [redacted] 2005. DGA has repeatedly tried to deceptively increase the monthly price over the last 8 years, and now currently I am paying $187.98 per month. Verbally I was told at the time of the agreement by DGA sales rep that my price would stay at $165 for the ten years of the contract. But the contract deliberately written in tiny size 6 font two pages long, hid the option to increase the price to any amount they desire up to 9%. That part of the contract was written on the last page in small writing intended not to be noticed. Many customers of DGA are not forced to pay for the annual increase if they noticed this deceptive contract writing practice up front, I can even write those customers names and account information if required to be disclosed. Also when new UL certificate required every two years, DGA tries to deceptively increase contract years by hiding new contract terms with the UL certificate. Although it is not required to sign new contract, they send a new contract every time a new UL certificate is required.Desired Settlement: I require a refund of all the excess increased monthly charges I have been charges for the past 6 years and for the monthly price to go back to $165/month for the remainder of the contract which expires on August * 2015. If DGA does not agree to such said terms I shall have their equipment removed by a certified UL alarm specialist and shipped back to them by Postal delivery.

Response:
At this time, I have not been contacted by DGA Security Systems Inc. regarding complaint ID [redacted].
Sincerely,
I also unknowingly signed a 10 yr contract with DGA as the complainants did (why would I sign a 10yr contract for security while having a 5yr lease?) and when I wanted to get out of it, I negotiated them down to a single lump sum payment of 50% of remaining due. It's an outrageous fine print scam. I am still using their product on a month-to-month basis (with zero discount on the usual monthly fee!!) as the product itself is fine. DGA sent me a customer satisfaction survey and were "surprised" to learn I was upset!!
