DGN Customs Reviews (2)

Review: Late last year (2013) I began to pay on a car at DGN Customs. The agreement was, I would give DGN Customs $300 a week until I reached a down payment of $900. After the down payment was reached, I would continue to pay $150 a week, I would receive the keys to the car, title, registration etc. Now, there were a few weeks where I could not make it down to the shop to make a payment on the car due to work and also not having a ride to the shop. I was under the impression that they were okay with that seeing as they never complained and also, there was never anything in the contract saying I would be penalized. Once I finally reached the down payment of $900, I did not request the keys because I needed a few weeks to save up enough money for the registration, etc. When I finally saved up enough money for everything, real issues began to occur. I started to noticed a few things on a few occasions that raised a red flag. First, there was a situation when I went to the shop to make a payment and the man behind the desk claimed that his employee had received a text message from me saying I was going to bring down 2 payments. I had no cell phone at that point seeing as all of my money was going to this car. He was lying to my face. 2nd, when the day finally came for me to go the notary to get everything for the car, I asked the man if he had everything ready for me. He said yes. I took all the papers to the notary and within a matter of about 3 minutes the man at the notary told me that the employee at DNG Customs "forgot" to sign a few lines and did not have the inspection sticker either. Finally, after a heated dispute with the employees at DGN customs, we came to another agreement. I was told, I was going to get my money back ($1300) within a matter of 2 weeks. I had him put it in paper. About a week later, I got a call from them saying their business lawyer said they did not have to pay me back. I was not given another chance to continue to pay on the car after this, therefore, I lost out on $1300.Desired Settlement: I just want justice to be served. I would like to have my money back. I'm trying to avoid going to court but I will not hesitate to take this company to court! I deserve to be treated fairly just like everyone else.

[redacted] VERBELY AGREED TO MYSELF AND MY GIRLFRIEND THAT HE WOULD PURCHASE THE CAR BY PUTTING 300$ DOWN FOR THE FIRST 3 WEEKS AND THEN 150 AFTER TAKING THE VEHICLE TILL THE TOTAL REACHED 2250$ A DEPOST WAS GIVEN TOTALLY 900$ THEY WERE NOT CONSECUTIVE LIKE OUR AGREEMENT. THEY WERE SPACED OUT FOR ABOUT 2 MONTHS. THEN I MY CUSTOMER THAT I DID NOT FEEL COMFORTABLE GIVING HIM THE VEHICLE UNTILL IT WAS PAID IN FULL DO TO THE FACT THAT HE DID NOT CONFORM TO THE CONTRACT AND DEAL THAT WE HAD MADE. TIME HAD MOVED ON MR [redacted] THEN CAME BACK WITH 150$ THE NEXT TWO OF SO WEEKS TOTALING 1300$ AT WHICH TIME WE HAD GIVEN HIM THE PAPER WORK TO TAKE TO THE NOTARY. HE DID HAVE INSURANCE AND THEY WOULD NOT DO ANY THING DO THE NOTARY WORK. PLEASE FOR GIVE ME THIS WAS A LONG TIME AGO AND-I DO NOT REMEMBER ALLTHE FACTS. BUT I DO HAVE 2 WITNESS’S TO THIS ORDEAL. I BELIEVE THAT HE THEN PURCHASED INSURANCE TRY AGAIN TO GET THE VEHICLE REGISTERED AT WHICH TIME YES I DID FORGET TO SIGN MY NAME WHICH IS NO BIG DEAL. AFTER THINKING THE SITUATION OVER I DID NOT FEEL THAT IF I HAD GIVEN HIM THE CAR HE WOULD CONTIUE TO PAY AS PER OUR PLACE AND AGREEMENT. I TOLD MR [redacted]S MY DECISION, AT THAT TIME HE CAUSED A LARGE SENCE INFRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS AND MADE VERBAL THREATS. TWO OF MY LARGER EMPLOYEES HAD REMOVED [redacted] FROM THE BUSINESS, TOOK HIM OUT SIDE AND CALMED HIM DOWN I DID HOWEVER SAY ONCE A FEW INSURANCE CHECKS HAD CLEARED THAT I WOULD REFUND HIS MONEY. THIS WAS ON A FRIDAY, AFTER SPEAKING WITH A LAWYER DURING THE WEEKED HE HAD INFORMED ME THAT PA LAW STATED THAT WE WERE NOT ENTITLED TO GIVE MR [redacted] THE REFUND DO TO THE FACTTHAT DURING THE PERIOD OF WHICH THE PAYMENTS WERE TO BE PAID THE VEHICLE COULD HAVE BEEN SOLD TO ANOTHER PARTY AND THAT WE LOST REVENUE ON THE SALE. IF YOU LOOK UP THIS INFORMATION IT IS CORRECT AND TRUE. AGAIN I HAVE TWO WITNESS TO THE AGREEMENT UNFORTUNITLY I DO NOT HAVE THE PAPER WORK THAT MR [redacted] HAD SIGNED AND OUR AGREEMENT AND THE PAYMENT SCHEDULE OF MONIES RECIEVED. I HAD NO REASON TO KEEP IT AS THE SITUATION WAS OVER. I AND PREPAIRED TO TAKE FURTHER ACTION PENDING THE DECISION OF THE HUTCHEN PARTY, MY LAWYER IS ON STANDBY.

Attached within this email is a photo of a written document from [redacted] at DGN Customs. It says " Due to [redacted] on Nov.6th 2013, $1350.00 or on Nov 13th 2013 if our checks don't clear by then." This document clearly states that we had came to an agreement , at the end of our dispute, that I would receive my money back. Also, he claims I made verbal threats. I never made any verbal threats towards him or any of the staff at DGN. I as well have a witness that can confirm that. I feel that these people are nothing but hustlers in suits, gangsters in uniform. He claims that I had to be escorted out of his business by his staff but in actuality, they wanted me to leave because they had a customer in the building and they didn't want that customer to see the problems that came along with doing business with them. Also, that same day, one of their staff members came out with a gun on his hip in a holster. That was definitely over the line and was not needed. I feel as if they were just trying to scare me out of their business. I admit that my temper was high but NOT ONCE DID I EVER MAKE ANY VERBAL THREATS. I just wanted him to know that I did not appreciate being hustled. I know of many people that have been hustled by this company, MANY PEOPLE. I have quite a few people that have been hustled by them ready to testify in court. The only reason that I decided to do business with them was because I was in desperate need of a vehicle. My mistake. As I said earlier in this message, we have a written document saying I was supposed to get my money back. I was supposed to get a full refund. It is a written document signed by [redacted]. Also, after it was all said and done I never even had the opportunity to continue to pay on the car seeing as he agreed to give me a refund but then backed out on his word. I'd appreciate it if he just manned up, became a loyal business man and gave me the refund the was promised within the document. Thank you.

this is one of the most disorganized shops I have ever seen. for restoration work all I can say is beware. hours are 9; 00 am. but owner shows up at 10:30 or 11:00 a.m. to open door. over the course of the far to long 17 months my auto was there, a total of 6 different body men worked on the car some were fired, some quit, some just disappeared as if taken by aliens, car was disassembled by some then dissasembled by others , by the time to reassemble the new ones were clueless. if you want an adventure by all means pick d.g.n..
