Diageo had a rebate program in place using tear pads and neck hangers on their productThe rebate was from $- $depending if you purchased -bottles of their productI have been in the grocery industry for over years so I know how to accurately request the rebateI purchased of their products and only received $instead of the $they advertisedI also know to keep copies of everything which I haveI sent them another follow up stating they did not honor their programThat was weeks ago so I believe I will not hear anything back from themAgain I clearly followed every rule they hadIt is possible they made a mistake but since I haven't heard back from them I am thinking it is more than that

I submitted to Diageo two receipts for a $dollar rebate *** promotion that they were currently offering to *** residents onlyI used the required text feature and app to file submissionI received conformation that the submission was completed and I would have the funds in my *** account in hrsI waited for a week no money I emailed Diageo and received a response Kelly R*** stating my submission was not processed however, I took a screenshot on the th of June when it was submitted for proof showing it was accepted, I also submitted the screen shoot and both issuing qualifying receipts in an email back to Kelly R*** she has been non respondent and I am sure she is hoping I go awayIf you offer a promotion to a consumer and they qualify, honor itI just want my rebate

Diageo actively advertised in the local newspaper, offering a rebate promotion for purchase of specific productsI followed the submission instructions and mailed the rebate materials within the required timeframe, entitling me to an $rebateInstead, I received a postcard notifying me that my residence and purchase are not within an “authorized” state for this promotionI phoned customer service in the designated rebate center (*** **) and was told that this state limitation was written in the fine print of the rebate offerWhen I suggested that actively advertising in “non-authorized” states seemed to be borderline fraud, the agent thanked me for my feedback and disconnected our call

THIS COMPANY ADVERTISED A REBATE ON A PURCHASE OF ALCOHOLTHE CERTIFICATE IS PRINTED IN SUCH SMALL PRINT, THERE IS NO WAY THE AVERAGE PERSON CAN READ IT AND FOLLOW ALL THE RULES I SUBMITTED ALL REQUIRED FORMS BUT MAILED IT DAYS LATE DUE TO THE FACT I COULDN'T READ THE FINAL MAILING DATE
I FEEL THAT COMPANY PURPOSELY PLANS ON CONSUMER'S NOT BEING ABLE TO READ AND THEREFORE FOLLOW ALL THE RULES IN ORDER TO QUALIFY TO RECEIVE THE ADVERTISED REBATE

Mr ***,Apologies, but we are unable to return the rebate forms as they are scanned and shredded after processing for privacy reasons I included the scanned copies in my original response We are unable to accept photos as this is not part of the rebate process and the product UPCs were not listed on the receipt so it would not serve to verify the purchase.Thank you for your patronage of Diageo products,Sheri R***

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfaction unfortunately we are traveling and will not verify that we have received their check until 4/16/Thank you

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:the response doesn't address the issue and if Diageo would like to accept additional proof of purchase (photo of the liquor) I would be happy to provide it. Otherwise I would like to receive the original entry back.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Hello,We are happy to respond to this consumer's complaint.  Our rebate company denied this claim per standard procedures because the terms of the rebate were not met.  The receipts provided did not specify the specific products purchased or the size of the product as required by the...

rebate form.  Also, the receipt did not have a product UPC which the consumer claimed he could verify with photos in the Revdex.com complaint.    Instead, the receipt indicated "Liquor' and the price for these purchases was far below the typical retail price for any 750ml product (.99). Unfortunately, we are unable to honor this rebate due to these reasons. Please contact me with any additional questions,Many Thanks,Sheri R[redacted]Sheri R[redacted]Consumer Care

To Whom it May Concern,
I am happy to respond that we have already resolved this concern
directly with the consumer.  It appears...

that this was an operator error in
entering the rebate information. The operator only captured one product which
is why the consumer was only originally mailed $10. However, we have confirmed there were 5
products on the receipt.   We received an email inquiry from this consumer
on March 11th and immediately recognized our error and processed a new check.
This check for the remaining amount was mailed to the consumer on March
17th.
We work very closely with
our rebate processor to ensure our rebates are processed quickly and
accurately.  Unfortunately, occasional errors do occur and we aim to
resolve these quickly to our consumer’s satisfaction.  We are very sorry
for this error and are always working on ways to improve our systems and
processing accuracy.

Review: I purchased wine in two configurations , first BVand Acacia, and then Sterling. I have sent them for rebate ( 2 x20) and instead received a postcard stating that the puchase was not reflected on receipts. (I offered the company photos of the bottles purchased along with UPCs if the receipts were not sufficient). My offer was ignored and the real reason given to me for refusal of the offer was that the products were purchased on clearance below the acceptable minimum price. (It is strange as the rebate offer doesn't specify minimum price to be spent per bottle). Anyway I find it very poor and reprehensible business practice by DIAGEO NA especially when I purchase over $2000 of their products annually.Desired Settlement: $40 and an apology.

Hello,

Review: Upon buying [redacted] in Waukesha Wisconsin, to try because of the $5 rebate, all required informatin was mailed in to the address on the rebate form . However, [redacted] is not refunding me the $5. (there address is PO Box XXXXXX; [redacted] XXXXX). wht they keep sending me a card stating I am not a resident of vlid state. However, the the refund was for the rum being bought n WIsconsin, which it was. the only discreoency I can see is I initiall gave them my military mailing address in Delaware. However, I sent them my WIsconsin address and got the refund not honored again, stateing the exact same reason. So the end result appears to be that Diageo brands and [redacted] does not desire to honor thei word and give the $5 rebate.

Product_Or_Service: [redacted]

Desired Settlement: At a minimum they should honor the $5 rebate and send me the monies to my WI address of [redacted] orr my military address of [redacted]. but because of all effort I have to put in to get this resolved they cold also offer a free bottle of their product!

Hi,

We have completed an investigation into the concern Mr. [redacted] has raised regarding his rebate. We are sorry for the difficulties he has had in recieving his rebate. While we are not able to ship him any product directly, we are going to send him a rebate for $20 that he can use for future purchases.

Please let Mr. [redacted] know that we are working to make improvements based on his feedback. If he has any other concerns, he can contact us directly as well and we will be happy to assist him.

Review: On July 20 I contacted [redacted] to advise that my previously unopened, boxed bottle of [redacted] was missing about one third of liquid.I spoke with a very congenial [redacted] who requested a photo of the bottle, which I sent at a cost of $10 to facilitate this request. [redacted] advisedshe would get back to me I a few days..she did leave a messageas I was out.Today I called and a woman stated the bottle was 9 years old and some gibberish about "conditions" made [redacted] reject my request for replacement.I find this outrageous, especially from such a well known company and Iformally request your intervention on my behalfDesired Settlement: At this point I do not even care to have another bottle of [redacted] which my family has bought for YEARS.Of course I expected a replacement but the tackiness of [redacted]turns me off...and I want current retail cost sent to me including the $10it cost to get them the photo. If this was their policy, why was it necessary to send the photo? I gave them the number requested.

Response:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. I have spoken with agent who offered $30.00 WHICH I COUNTERED WITH A REQUEST

FOR PRICE IN [redacted] WHICH AMOUNTS TO $40.25 TO WHICH SHE AGREED. I HAVE NOT, AS YET, RECEIVED CHECK.

Sincerely,

Consumer

Response:

HAVE NOT RECEIVED $40.25 CHECK AS OF THIS WRITING. PLS ADVISE.

THANKYOU,

Review: I sent in a rebate form with the correct register receipt information. The rebate form was for $8.00 if you bought 2 bottles of [redacted]. The rebate form stated it was for ** only. When I went to check the status it said it was denied. I sent an inquiry and waited the 3 business days for a response and got none. I sent a second request and was answered with a reason that the form I sent was one that said ** was not included. I sent an email back with the COPY I made of the form and the register receipt, clearly showing that I bought three bottles and they were all part of the rebate. The form I sent in also CLEARLY stated that it was for ** only. I have waited 10 days now for a resolution, and have gotten no response. I feel this is false advertising and would like my valid rebate check sent for $8.00.Desired Settlement: I would like for my VALID rebate for $8.00 to be honored.
