Review: About an hour ago (3:30am Monday 26 August), the dispatcher on duty lied to me.
My daughter, a new student/resident of DC who was trying to return to the GWU campus from GWU Hospital (she had a medical emergency this evening), was told that a taxi would be there soon ... and then 20 minutes later when she called to ask about timing was told it would be there in 20 minutes more. However, when I called 30 minutes after that, I was told that there were no taxis in the area and further that "no one ever told your daughter that it would be 20 minutes." Seriously? Why would my daughter lie to me?!
When I asked the dispatcher why she didn't tell my daughter there were no taxis in the area the first OR SECOND time she called, the dispatcher hung up on me.
My daughter had spent 7 hours in the ER. She was very sick and in a lot of pain. The treatment she received from Diamond was inhumane and inexcusable.
This company should not be permitted to operate. Lying to customers is unacceptable.Desired Settlement: The dispatcher should be fired, or should be required to attend training.
