Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] .We can definitely afford to make single payment of $1224,but we chose not to because we always wanted to go month by month.we understand we were fooled to sign the so called contract, by putting an amendment because it was our belief that no one would require a year long commitment from a six year old, based on our experience of working with other businesses like YMCA, SPORTS CLUB OR PAVILION etc.We were NEVER approached by any member of ATA or staff regarding a change in instructor till we notified them about our struggle of two months to keep our son motivated to attend the classes, which he did with no issue before the change of instructor. As MsL A [redacted] claims to have met me to offer the option of changing the location is completely UNTRUEI have never ever seen her nor her husband spoke to me about the change of location, which is very inconvenient for us.ThanksL [redacted] & C [redacted] P***

not offer month to month program, the fee per month is $and the commitment is for yearWe have students from years old to adults and they all have the same contractWe also offer discount when students pre pay for the year which make them save around $but MrsP*** decided to commit for the year paying monthly payments for the amount of $When P*** family signed up, She did mentioned about the possibility of moving and we told them that we were going to cancel the membership for moving reasons (and we wrote that down in the contract by the way) but this is not the caseThe contract is not expired yet and has payments left to finishShe can transfer the membership to another family as an option, we will definitly accept thatWe have the contract with us, please let me know if you would like us to send the contract as a proof that P*** family agreed to the terms of our school when they enrolled their son. Tell us why here...It makes no sense for us to not take that huge discount ($400), if our intention was to commit for long time on our kid’s behalf. That clearly shows our willingness to pay month to month, as it is irrational to ask for kids’ to commit that long. Even if we were fooled to sign a paper to provide credit card information (which is considered a contract), then it means, business can do whatever they want to, from that point on within a year, like what they did in our case by replacing the experienced coach with the trainee within short time, & customers like us has to suffer!! We need help here.So-called contract can be voided for job change, as mentioned. We can’t predict all the events within a year, & mention that in the contract, to be bound for both parties to begin with. No other businesses like this (YMCA, Pavilion, Sports club) requires annual contracts like this even from adults! We would have been happy to refer to our friends, & even transfer the membership, but the question is “Can we trust the business/management??” As you can clearly see, we never intended to commit for that long on behalf of our 5-year old, we request you to ask business/management to cancel our membership without further charges. Thanks.L[redacted] & C[redacted]

Good morning, As I mentioned before it is a year contract no matter if you prepay or if you decide to go monthly. To save $400 for prepaying it will make sense for everyone but it doesn't mean everyone will do it because no everyone can afford 1  time payment of $1224, we always offer both options. In this case they decided to do the payment plan of $120 per month for 12 months (1 year contract) We are not doing whatever we want because they provided their credit card information, we are not charging anything extra than the $120 per month as we agreed from day one. Regarding the instructor change, he just had the opportunity to be transfered to a bigger  school with more benefits, and this school is just 3.4 miles away (5-7 minutes drive). When we decided to do the change, I personally went to the school and spoke with students and parents regarding the change (change process took about 2 months) and told them that they had the freedom to move to the new location to follow the instructor, 75% of students did it. We also offered this option to Mrs. P[redacted] and she didn't want to. I understand she won't recommend our school to friends, because of this, but I don't think is because the management isn't trustable. We clearly stated in the contract from day one, that she was signing a contract for 12 months. Our contract doesn't have a month to month option. The contract has a cancelation policy that in capital letter says that contract cannot be canceled and Ms. P[redacted] signed her initials understanding the terms. Why would you sign a policy like that if you are in a "month to month" plan. And we are not talking about a 10 pages contract with small letters. This is only one side sheet contract, and the cancelation policy is just a few sentences. I don't know what other facilities offer but anyways I think it doesn't have anything to do with this case, since we are talking about totally different type of businesses.  Thanks,  L[redacted]
