Customer called with an issue with his stainless steel
exhaust kit from usStating that it has started to surface rust after only
days of it being on the vehicleHe then wanted us to replace the kit because
of the surface rustOur warranty on stainless kits is a year warranty
that
covers any manufacture defect such as a hanger breaking off the pipe,
split seams on the pipe, or corrosion causing complete failure of the product
Surface rust is not covered in our warranty because it is only cosmetic and
doesn't hinder the integrity or performanceThe surface rust he is
experiencing is normal, stainless is used by Diamond Eye MFGand all the
other major exhaust manufactures and was designed primarily for the automotive
exhaust industrystainless will surface rust due to its low chromium
content of 10.50%- 11.75% and nickel content only being .50%is a
corrosion resistant product
