Complaint: I am rejecting this response because:I have read the reply to my complaint against Diamond Eye Optometry, and per your request, I am replying to it.As usual, they have a very ***se interpretation of the “truth”.We returned our glasses several times...mine were adjusted different times before we saw Dr***...where we had been referred. They redid my husband’s glasses, so how can they continue to say that we never told them that the glasses were not correct.THEY sent us to Dr ***....with the outrageous “scare tactic” that we had cataracts and glaucoma...neither is the truth and NEVER was any cataract surgery suggested nor mentioned.Their story keeps getting stranger and stranger, and they think that is ok.No one going to them should “pay in full”...then they feel they have the right to turn out bad glasses and “too bad”...no refundsThey should not be able to be in business.Tell the truth for goodness sake. They say they were SHOCKED when they heard from American Express...well...the doctor they referred us to is the same office whoTold us to call American Express and report them We did not even have to return the lousy glasses Annnd...instructed us on how to go on YELP and give them a bad reviewWe have never heard of YELP before.American Express ruled in their favor because of their liesWe are very disappointed in American Express, and are no long members. If you are told you HAVE to pay in fullgo...no RUN to a different eye doctor, because they are showing you that whatever they produce, you will be stuck withThey have no faith in their abilities, nor do they know how to tell the truthAs is said...”she chose to order glasses with them”...sure we did...we had gone there in good faith for eye exams and new glasses...so we automatically ordered glasses.....unaware that they are not capable of giving a decent prescription nor capable of producing glasses that you can see out of.We went to Dr ***, because they referred us there.Their issue is with Dr [redacted] for “stealing their patients and business”...not with us.Yes, we finally decided to accept a partial refund of $for the frames....and even then I was threatened...I HAD to sign their paper that I would not come after any more refundor she would not swipe my card for that little refund.I am the one who decided to put an end to the dispute...because people who lie will keep right on lying and there is no way to negotiate a reasonable outcome. My goodness but they are not nice people at all and I would strongly recommend that you do not do any business with them. They have also been reported to the State of California Board of Optometry Licensing, who has an open case against them Regards, Na [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
I have read the reply to my complaint against Diamond Eye Optometry, and per your request, I am replying to it.
As usual, they have a very [redacted]se interpretation of the “truth”.
We returned our glasses several times...mine were adjusted 3 different times before we saw Dr. [redacted]...where we had been referred.
They redid my husband’s glasses, so how can they continue to say that we never told them that the glasses were not correct.
THEY sent us to Dr [redacted]....with the outrageous “scare tactic” that we had cataracts and glaucoma...neither is the truth and NEVER was any cataract surgery suggested nor mentioned.
Their story keeps getting stranger and stranger, and they think that is ok.
No one going to them should “pay in full”...then they feel they have the right to turn out bad glasses and “too bad”...no refunds. They should not be able to be in business.
Tell the truth for goodness sake.
They say they were SHOCKED when they heard from American Express...well...the doctor they referred us to is the same office who.... 1. Told us to call American Express and report them 2. We did not even have to return the lousy glasses 3. Annnd...instructed us on how to go on YELP and give them a bad review. We have never heard of YELP before.
American Express ruled in their favor because of their lies. We are very disappointed in American Express, and are no long members.
If you are told you HAVE to pay in full...... go...no RUN to a different eye doctor, because they are showing you that whatever they produce, you will be stuck with. They have no faith in their abilities, nor do they know how to tell the truth.
As is said...”she chose to order glasses with them”...sure we did...we had gone there in good faith for eye exams and new glasses...so we automatically ordered glasses.....unaware that they are not capable of giving a decent prescription nor capable of producing glasses that you can see out of.
We went to Dr [redacted], because they referred us there.
Their issue is with Dr [redacted] for “stealing their patients and business”...not with us.
Yes, we finally decided to accept a partial refund of $243 for the frames....and even then I was threatened...I HAD to sign their paper that I would not come after any more refund
or she would not swipe my card for that little refund.
I am the one who decided to put an end to the dispute...because people who lie will keep right on lying and there is no way to negotiate a reasonable outcome.
My goodness but they are not nice people at all and I would strongly recommend that you do not do any business with them.
They have also been reported to the State of California Board of Optometry Licensing, who has an open case against them.

referred to an ophthalmologist for a cataract surgery consult. She chose to go ahead and make glasses and was going to also schedule an appointment with the ophthalmologist. They paid for their glasses in full with their American Express Card. Mrs. L[redacted] returned to our office once for a frame adjustment. We then heard from American Express that the patients asked them to reverse the charges. We contacted American Express to inquire as to why the charges were reversed. They stated that the patient requested the funds be reversed. We did not hear from the patients that they were dissatisfied with their glasses. American Express requested that we fill out their paperwork so they could investigate the charges. We complied with American Express as per our merchant agreement and American Express ruled in our favor and recharged the patient's card for the full amount. We contacted the patients and offered to credit them for their frames as we could restock them. The lenses however, were custom made and could not be returned.
