Diamond Gold Connection Reviews (3)

The requested repair was repaired fraudulently and resulted in higher repair charges.I purchased a ring on 8/16/14 for $1000. It remained in my safe until 10/7/14 when I gave it to my girlfriend. On 10/9/14 a diamond feel out of it. We brought it back on 10/10/14 and the Diamond Connection agreed to replace it and size the ring at no cost and to have it ready by 5pm on 10/17/14. My girlfriend went to pick it up on 10/18 and was told it wont be ready for another 5 days. I called and complained and after much arguing, they agreed to fix it and size it by the afternoon on 10/20. On the morning of 10/20 I received a call and was told the stone was fixed but the ring was not sized. After demanding an explanation why the repair still was not complete I was cursed at and told to come pick up the ring. (My brother picked up the ring as I was busy at that time.) When we finally saw the ring we instantly noticed that one corner was now round and the stone looked plastic. Since I was screamed at on the phone I decided to bring it to [redacted] in Westfield Ma for an opinion on the repairs. We were told the stone they used to replace the missing one was half the size and less than half the value of the original stone, forcing the corner to now but pulled in so much it became round. This also stretched the band causing the center mounted diamond setting to twist and splinter. This caused the center diamond to become off centered considerably. We were also told because of this sizing this ring would be near impossible. We left the ring with AndrewGrants with hopes they can somehow fix this ring, but would probably end up paying between $300 and $400 in labor and a new diamond.Desired SettlementI have lost all trust and faith in this business that I purchased the ring from. I would really like retribution for costs incurred for having to bring to another jewelers for repairs but I am not expecting any money or refunds. I want it known to the Revdex.com of their fraudulent repair practices and extreme unprofessionalism.
