Diamond Heating and Air Reviews (1)

If you value your sanity and want a functioning HVAC unit, do NOT trust Diamond Heating and Air to do any work for you. We had a brand new heating and air conditioning unit put on our roof in April. We began to notice that the unit seems to run a lot and was having trouble keeping the house cool. My wife called Diamond back and the owner, [redacted], came out and fiddled around on the roof for a while. He then proceeded to tell my wife that the unit had been “shot” with what looked to be a small caliber bullet and that the unit had a leak and it was not covered under our warranty. This sounded very fishy and we got [redacted] to come out and take a look at the machine. They stated that the small damage on the side of the unit was likely done during installation and that the small surface damage on the machine is not the problem. The problem is the TXV valve and that it is faulty and should be covered under our warranty with Diamond. The following week, [redacted] came out and we showed him what [redacted] said was the real problem and he then agreed and said he would fix the valve. [redacted] has been very rude to my wife and to me, even at one point calling my wife an “[redacted]” because she called him out on his BS diagnosis. Now he refuses to fix the actual part and has told us that our warranty is void because another company came out to look at the machine, when in fact [redacted] is licensed to work on Lennox machines and that would not void our Lennox warranty.

Additionally, during the installation process the installers damaged our wall with a ladder and they also broke 2 of our recessed can lights. Rather than admitting that they damaged them, and just offering to have them replaced because they are only about 15 dollars each, they tried to hide the damage. They used some of their ducting straps and tied the light up to a ceiling rafter to hold it in place. I had to replace the lights myself. Rather than just admitting the problem (which wasn’t a big deal), they tried to hide it. [redacted] seems like a nice guy when he shows up to try and sell you a new HVAC unit or do work on your unit. But beware, the second you have a problem with your unit he will quickly try to find any reason to void your warranty and cause you stress. Do not trust him to touch anything on your unit. He is either a scam artist who wants to do work that isn’t necessary, or he is totally incompetent and has no clue what he is doing.
