I purchased a watch from diamond Jim's through the [redacted] store I actually won the auction at 19.95 with free shipping. Since I am local here in Phoenix I contacted Diamond Jim's in a message prior to paying stating that I was a local and that I could pick it up and pay the item cash for a discounted price as I would be saving them from having to box it and pay for shipping on there behalf as it was free for me either way. They respond by saying sure we would love for you to come in to our store and give me the address. I then show up and tell them what I am there for and they have no clue who I am or what I'm talking about. Apparently the person I spoke with on [redacted] was not there and they could not get a hold of her. They looked at all my conversations with her and then took the item number and went into the back. they kept scouring back and forth there was 4 people in this store working. It took them 15-20 min to locate the watch. I was about to walk out the door and had told them to email me they just had all of a sudden found it. So I said ohh great looks good how much do I owe and he said $19.95. I then brought up the conversation that I had with the lady on [redacted] and the clerk paused then gets on his phone and calls the manager he then puts me on the phone with the manager the manager proceeds to tell me that the price is 19.95 and that they are not charging me tax case I drove to pick it up! I was baffled I said well I have a tax id # for resale! and he didn't even respond or acknowledge to that he proceeded to say its illegal for me not to charge tax. So I brought up the fact that I was promised a discount to drive down otherwise I would have paid on [redacted] and received it for free shipping (since he decided to ignore the fact I have a tax ID and am a business owner) So now I have wasted my time and gas to only pay full price. I then said I will just cancel the transaction, He just says ok thanks and hung up without the offer of any compromise for the confusion and wasted time due to there poor communication as a staff. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever received. They are obviously not organized and do not know how to run a business I wouldn't doubt that in a current economy for retail if they are in business much longer. You don't treat people like this for your own mistakes and confusion.
