Sirs, Regarding the complaint from [redacted] : [redacted] and [redacted] decided they wanted to cancel our contract, even though the cancellation date had passedI agreed to refund their deposit in paymentsThey have received the first paymentThey will receive the balance in the next few payments Thank youRegards, Crystal Sunrooms and Remodeling

Complaint: 11504682 I am rejecting this response because: Mr. [redacted] has grossly misstated the facts. All trades did a great job with the exception of the trim crew. The city building inspector agreed that the trim work was substandard and indicated that in his report. And yes, for the price we were paying, we expected an appropriate quality of work. The contract called for "All work to be performed by skilled craftsmen in a workmanship like manner." The final payment was due "upon completion and customer satisfaction." We had an excellent repoire with all the workmen despite the fact that most of them spoke little, if any, English. It's simply a lie to state otherwise. The fact that Mr. [redacted] defaulted on the contract speaks volumes. It was a direct result of Mr. ***'s default that we incurred extra expense and have to live with the visible results of the shoddy trim job. Our claim stands at $1,765.00 ($2,800+265-2,300 = $765 extra expense + $1,000 as refund for the shoddy trim work)Thank you for your assistance. Regards, [redacted]

According to the county records for Mr***’s address, his property was NOT in the city limits of Manor, TXTherefore, a city building permit was NOT requiredA city building inspector was driving from a commercial building, under construction, a couple of blocks behind the *** houseThe inspector saw the Tyvek wrap on the frame structure at the rear of the houseSo he stopped at the house to check for a building permit, and not finding one he issued a stop work noticeMr*** notified me of the stop work notice, so I contacted the city of ManorI was informed by the building inspection department that normally, a building permit would not be required on that property, but under a special agreement with the city of Manor, the Homeowners Association of Mr*** neighborhood agreed to come under the rules of the City of Manor’s building department in exchange for some city services, fire, police, etcObtaining a building permit is not an immediate process, and I had to create the plans to submit to obtain a building permitI met with Mr*** at his house to address his concernsThen on 4/29/I received an email from Mr*** stating that I will no longer need to use Crystal Sunrooms & Remodeling ServiceSincerely, *** *** Crystal Sunrooms & Remodeling
