March 11, 2016Dear [redacted] ***,I received your letter in reference to a complaint against Diamonds of the Future, IncThank you for giving us the opportunity to explain the situation to you before you make your decision.Diamonds of the Future, Inchas provided care for a child while the mother workedWhen we accepted the child into our center we understood that the child would be with us for two weeks, however the mother did ask if we would continue to care for her child until her mother’s visa was approved to come to USAWe agreed and we asked the mother how long, she was not able to provide us with the information because she was unsure of how long they would have to wait until the visa was issued. We do have a policy to which we must make everyone honorWe must be given a weeks’ notice as to when the child or children will be leaving our center so we can make sure that we have the proper amount of employee coverage for each child, per the state guidelines we follow at all timesWith that in mind we were not at any time given a weeks’ notice either in writing or verballyPer our contract item # to which the customer signed and agreed she failed to give us any type of notice other than coming in on a Wednesday morning and informing us that her mother received her Visa and she will be pulling her child from the center on that FridayI informed the customer more than once that we must have a written or verbal notice, we did not receive anything at any time from her due to her uncertainty.Since the two weeks that the customer originally informed us had passed and additional time was needed with uncertainty of how long her child would be in our care we had to bring on additional staff to abide with the state standards of ratio, we also provide an additional staff person because of the language difference so that child would feel safe and secure at all timesWe have tried to settle this and wave late fees with the customer but she is not willing to adhere to our policy even though we have pointed them out to her over and over againAt this time, we are asking for the total amount due to our center in the amount of $507.00.In closing we even offered to continue two weeks' service with her so she would not feel as though she was paying for service not rendered to herThe that is owed to us we split for one week of part time service and one week of full time service since that is the service we provided for her beforeAS of this date she is now weeks past due in payment with the total of late charges being $an additional $to which we were willing to wave which would make the total now due to our center in the amount of $632.00In closing I have provided all communication between us and the clientIf need be we are willing to sign a sworn document that the client never ever gave us a weeks’ notice of any kind because she was unable to until she was certain that her family member received her visa to enter into the USA a 3-day notice is not acceptable or fair to us trying to run a businessTo this date she still has not provided us with any notice of any sort and time and time again we have asked for itI kept pointing out a written notice because she still would not even give us a vocal two weeks’ noticeI am aware that we could have held off until we received a notice of any sort but did not want to be unfair.Best Regards,Colleen S*Director of Diamonds of the Future, Inc

To whom it may concern, This is going to go on and on with this client. I can provide all the proof necessary as I have done. After talking to my lawyer, state reps and other daycare providers, this is simply a case of a client that does not chose to honor a written contract and is delaying time over and over again. This has gone on long enough. I have tried to work with this client to solve the issues, she refuses for some unknown reason that only she is not able to understand or acknowledge the true fact that she is seriously wrong. The issue and again I will state that it is not the 2 weeks we both agreed, the issues is time after that was needed without clear knowledge of how long she would need our service.(as she clearly said in the documents already provided). So yes after the two weeks had gone by and she asked us to allow her child to stay with us until a family member visa was approved and a flight was booked. We did not and I can not say this enough - get a two weeks notice of any kind period. A signed contract was in placed and it was not fulfilled by the client and now she must honor and pay her dept. I need this issues resolved, I need to continue putting my focus on the children and families at our facility. This is not a court case and I will not continue to fall as a victim to this client. Best Regards, Colleen S[redacted]DirectorOffice - ###-###-####Fax - ###-###-####380 N. March 11, 2016Dear [redacted],I received your letter in reference to a complaint against Diamonds of the Future, Inc. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to explain the situation to you before you make your decision.Diamonds of the Future, Inc. has provided care for a child while the...

mother worked. When we accepted the child into our center we understood that the child would be with us for two weeks, however the mother did ask if we would continue to care for her child until her mother’s visa was approved to come to USA. We agreed and we asked the mother how long, she was not able to provide us with the information because she was unsure of how long they would have to wait until the visa was issued. We do have a policy to which we must make everyone honor. We must be given a 2 weeks’ notice as to when the child or children will be leaving our center so we can make sure that we have the proper amount of employee coverage for each child, per the state guidelines we follow at all times. With that in mind we were not at any time given a 2 weeks’ notice either in writing or verbally. Per our contract item # 22 to which the customer signed and agreed she failed to give us any type of notice other than coming in on a Wednesday morning and informing us that her mother received her Visa and she will be pulling her child from the center on that Friday. I informed the customer more than once that we must have a written or verbal notice, we did not receive anything at any time from her due to her uncertainty.Since the two weeks that the customer originally informed us had passed and additional time was needed with uncertainty of how long her child would be in our care we had to bring on additional staff to abide with the state standards of ratio, we also provide an additional staff person because of the language difference so that child would feel safe and secure at all times. We have tried to settle this and wave late fees with the customer but she is not willing to adhere to our policy even though we have pointed them out to her over and over again. At this time, we are asking for the total amount due to our center in the amount of $507.00.In closing we even offered to continue two weeks' service with her so she would not feel as though she was paying for service not rendered to her. The that is owed to us we split for one week of part time service and one week of full time service since that is the service we provided for her before. AS of this date she is now 5 weeks past due in payment with the total of late charges being $25.00 an additional $125.00. to which we were willing to wave which would make the total now due to our center in the amount of $632.00In closing I have provided all communication between us and the client. If need be we are willing to sign a sworn document that the client never ever gave us a 2 weeks’ notice of any kind because she was unable to until she was certain that her family member received her visa to enter into the USA a 3-day notice is not acceptable or fair to us trying to run a business. To this date she still has not provided us with any notice of any sort and time and time again we have asked for it. I kept pointing out a written notice because she still would not even give us a vocal two weeks’ notice. I am aware that we could have held off until we received a notice of any sort but 1 did not want to be unfair.Best Regards,Colleen S[redacted]Director of Diamonds of the Future, Inc.
