Review: I went into this store looking for an exact pair of hardtail leggings, which are not cheap. I go home to find out she had given me the ankle length when I was looking for capri length. I went back the next morning she then tells me "I don't have those in stock, I can order them for you. Would you like credit so you don't have to come in and pay or would you like me to refund your money?" (Knowing it was her mistake she offered to refund my money.) I asked how long they'll be in she had told me a week. I told her just credit me I'll be here next week so that way I don't have to pay when I come back, she sat there agreeing saying "yea that way you don't have to worry about coming in and paying." (Quoting her because she later denied that she never said she'd refund me.) It is now almost 2 months I have no leggings or refund. I called plenty times to be told they are on back order. I told her I wanted to come get a refund because how long it is taking. She told me I don't do refunds. I let it slide for another week. Today I called the brand Hardtail to ask if they have those in stock and she asked me to get the model number. When I called and asked [redacted], the owner of this store, she said "I'm not giving you the model number I told you I'll call you when they come in, take me to small claims court." I went into the store to grab the long ankle length leggings so that way I have something. When I went in there she was so nasty with such a snippy attitude, "read my sign I never said I'll refund you." She goes "You act like your the only one waiting for them" then I said its been 2 months. She replies with "really? really? oh, I'm so sorry" being sarcastic. Also saying "I don't have those ankle length leggings here in stock either." So I then said I'm taking any legging here so I have something. Forcing me to grab a size too small and different style. I then called Hardtail to give that model number they told me it's very very unlikely those leggings are on back order because those are our classics.Desired Settlement: I want the head company who distributes hardtail to her to send me the right pair of leggings. Also make her change her exchange policy. I have it all recorded when I went in that way if anyone would like to see how rude she was. I'm sure once I talk to hardtail corporate they will be very upset with how she handled the situation.
I am writing in response to the complaint filed by [redacted] regarding a pair of hardtail pants sold to [redacted] on May **, 2013
Hardtail makes many different length pants and it is the customers responsibility to know which one to get. As [redacted] said I offered her her money back until the ones to replace that pair came in. I would never say that I would refund her money as our store policy and every other store in Westhampton Beach give store credit only, no refunds and this is posted by the register.
I ordered the pants that she wanted and the order took quite some time to get here. [redacted] called a few times and was quite agitated that they were not in. She then threatened to take me to small Claims court. I did not tell her to take me to small Claims Court, as she stated.
At this point the customer is no longer welcome in my shop and I am sure she has worn the other pants.
