I think I have made very good points the only person being embarrassed here is Diane'sAt the end of the day A business sold a puppy that is not what it was advertisedIn addition they sold a pit bull mix without telling the consumer that was a possibilityThis should be disclosed verbally before purchase, not hidden in fine print, its misleading and unethicalT think we can all agree on thatAs far as contacting a lawyer, go ahead its my right to document my experience at Dianes, as millions of people have done on various sites that help consumers be aware of businesses like DianesIts pretty obvious if they had labeled the puppy a pit bull mix he would not have been adoptedAnd they have yet to provide any p[roof as to why they labeled him an American Bulldog mixA dog that just happens to resemble a pit bull as a puppy

In response to this complaint we received from *** *** I would like to first explain that the puppy was not "SOLD" to him and that it was an adoptionOur Adoption Center is a temporary home for many rescued dogs, puppies, cats and kittensThese animals come from several non-profit out of state
rescues and two local rescuesMany of the pets in the Adoption Center were rescued from a gassing shelter or an abusive situation, hazardous environment, were unplanned or were just not wanted anymoreAdoption fees include: Vaccines, de-worming, topical flea control, heart worm testing and monthly prevention, micro chipping, medical care while they are here and spaying/neutering or a $Spay Neuter Refund CertificateOut-of-state rescues also include transport feesAttached is the adoption contract signed by *** *** that he understood this when he adopted his puppy on 3-There are no refunds on adoption fees but he still has a $neuter deposit that we would be happy to mail to him if he would like.There is no way to guarantee the DNA of a mixed breed puppy, even DNA testing is not 100% accurateThe shelter veterinarian that examined the puppy guessed him to be mixed with Shepherd/Labrador and American BulldogAn American Bulldog looks similar to an American Pit Bull except it is a larger bully-breed full grownThe Pit bull is the common name for a type of dogFormal breeds often considered in North America to be of the pit bull type include the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, American Bully, and Staffordshire Bull Terrier, The American Bulldog and the Bull Terrier (standard and miniature) are also sometimes included(From ***) The veterinarian felt that the puppy resembled an American Bulldog puppy and therefore he was listed as such by the rescueThis puppy was listed on our website and his kennelI have also attached the puppy’s kennel card that was displayed on his kennel when the ***’s adopted him. *** *** came into the adoption center on 8-yelling at staff and accusing them of lying about the pups breedHe became so irate that Alison a store employee had to ask him several times to please stop yelling at her and even told him that she would need to call the police if he did not stop screaming at herMy staff tried to explain that his puppy is not an American Pit Bull and that it is clearly a mixed breedThere is not much difference between an American Pit Bull Terrier which is the only true pit bull and a American BulldogThey are both “bully breeds” this would explain the jaw line that the puppy presented at his veterinary appointmentWe have placed several hundred mixed and purebred bully breeds including American Pit Bull Terriers over the past years into loving homesOur intention is always to place dogs and puppies into loving homes regardless to their breedThe rescues we work with have no desire to label the dog’s breed as something other then what the dog/pup resembles I do believe the ***’s to be very good pet owners and hope that this response will put their minds at easeI think it is unfortunate that whoever poisoned the ***’s minds with these horror stories about rescues tricking adopters to adopt pit bulls realizes that they were wrongThey had no right to label their mixed breed puppy as a pit bull and create this whole situationI researched some pictures on-line of Labrador Ret./American Bulldog mix pictures and honestly think their puppy resembles one quite a bitI attached one of the pictures I found and hope they consider removing the label on their puppy.Diane D***

Complaint: ***I am very sorry that *** *** claims he did not understand that the adoption of a mixed breed puppy rescued from a shelter did not include a 100% guarantee of the breeds it was mixed withThe ***’s puppy was described on his kennel, online and on their adoption contract as a Labrador Retriever/American Bulldog/Shepherd mix puppy rescued from a kill shelterThe ***’s had to fill out this application to adopt the puppy http://www.***This application process is done prior to any adoption taking placeThe Baron’s appeared to understand that this puppy was a rescue and not a puppy for sale during the application process and prior to adoption*** *** now claims that he was a victim of a sales pitch in which he was sold a product labeled incorrectly with no proofI believe that the veterinarians who examined this puppy were accurate in their description of the breeds that best described the ***’s puppyI have included a picture of the puppy that was used on our websiteIn response to *** ***’s adamant denial that his puppy weighed lbsat his neuter appointmentA veterinarian would never mistake the weight of a dog in their medical recordsThe puppy had to be weighed to ensure he received the proper dosage of medications to perform his neuter surgeryAll of his medications were consistent with his weight of lbs*** *** *** *** *** * *** *** would be happy to provide this documentation to *** ***I requested this information in order to confirm that the puppy that we adopted to the ***’s was indeed the puppy that was neuteredThe only reason I requested this information was because *** *** claimed that the puppy only weighed approximately lbscurrentlyI knew this was not accurate since the puppy weighed almost that when he adopted from us in AprilAfter confirming this was the correct information his neuter refund of $was processedThe check was mailed to him and his wife on 9-23-from the Exton post office. It is not my intent to embarrass *** *** or make him out to look like a bad guyI understand *** *** is unhappy with what he believes to be a conspiracyI am simply trying to communicate the truth and the facts*** *** has no right to falsely accuse my business of misleading customers or to call me a liar and to threaten to ruin my businesses reputation with threats such as“Of course they want this to go away, it’s bad for business. But it’s only the beginning. I feel consumers should be aware of the methods used to sell animals at Diane’s, regardless what happens here I will do that”.
