I hired [redacted], who operates as owner of [redacted], to do some web design for a new business I have launched. We worked together without consequence for a few months. There were times when [redacted] failed to reply in a timely fashion, but typically he would produce the output that was required to continue working together on the project. Throughout the project I was required to pay [redacted] for plugins (software/code) that were needed for him to do the web design. I always paid him promptly and even gave him advances of payment in good faith on a couple of occasions. In October, [redacted] was contracted to code and bundle a plugin for part of the web design and was paid a $300 deposit/retainer in good faith. Our interaction from this point is chronicled following:Nov 12 Invoice is sent for tags, 30 hours work is quoted and 50% deposit requested to startInvoice 34 paid via email money transfer for the following: Various tweaks to website wording $40 & Down payment for multiple tags printing $300Nov 14 Receipt sent for deposit and a quote of completion to transpire in the next couple of daysNov 16 supposed to be finished and working now by Dec 2 or 3rdDec 5 attempt to contact after no updates inquiring if any progress has been made Dec 8 - attempt to contact (as above)Dec 9 - attempt to contact (as above)Dec 11 - attempt to contact (as above)Dec 12 email from [redacted] advising that no work has been done since his last email (late Nov), and that now the work done Dec 14Email that [redacted] will have everything in hand to me by Jan 6, at the latestJan 7 FTP upgrade. Plugin is there but not working or testedJan 16 still no work done to have the plugin functioning get advise that [redacted] will work with my new developer. Set a time to get in touch with him Jan 119Jan 19 supposed to have a phone consult with new developer.
