Why would we collect the payment in the first place if we had the slightest intention of issuing a refund at a later date if you decide to back out of the special order. I am rejecting this response because:Mike, you were not on the phone call between Scott and I when discussing the ability to refund my deposit so therefore you cannot be CERTAIN of what I was told. I was led to believe the deposit was to protect me, the buyer. Not you, the seller.

While it may be the case that this deposit was non-refundable, it doesn't change the fact I was lead to believe the opposite. If it is in fact non-refundable, it's unacceptable that a salesman would claim that I could be refunded my deposit in the case I needed to back out of the deal before taking delivery.The language you mentioned in the contract, included in the "Additional Terms and Conditions" page, was not provided in the portion that was originally scanned and emailed to me and this is the first time I've seen it. This is why I specifically asked about the possibility of a refund over the phone before placing my deposit. Once I was assured getting a refund wouldn't be a problem if needed, I was more than happy to transfer the money. Had I'd have known otherwise, I never would have placed the order.The fact of the matter is I was told I could get my money back if needed, you are now saying that's not the case, now I'm out $2,500 and you still have a high-demand car you can sell at a marked up price.
