Dielman Moving gives estimates to the best of our abilityEstimates are just estimates on the moveThere are many moving parts that may have the estimate go longer or shorterThe level of preparedness of the home owner, long walk, short walk,
weather on the day of the move
The paper work and contract that the *** signed go over all of thisIt states we bill actual time and materials
We understand that everyone is on a budget for a move - that is why we address this issue with the *** when they moved out of storage and they received a credit on the move outThey were given a credit when they came and pick up their belongings on October 31st
There was a book case that was scratch and a piece of the trim work came offWe repaired the book case and delivered it back to the ***
They never said anything about a desk - and to my knowledge the desk was in good condition when they picked it upThey did only bring a 17fttruck with friends (not profmovers) to pick up the itemsThey had to make two trips because they truck they brought was to small
Our movers did a great job and moved everything with out damageIt did take a couple hours longer- however they did receive a credit on the move out
We did speak with the *** about all this over two months ago and they were very satisfied with the compensation at the timeI am very surprised about this complaintMaybe Mr*** forgot he received the credit on the move out?

Movers themselves & actual moving process was a positive experience. Billing & customer service was not.
When the move was completed (Friday early afternoon), one of the movers called the office & filled out the billing paperwork. I was then given the final bill by the mover. It showed the various charges. The mover gave me a quick explanation & I was told I was responsible to pay the total amount at the bottom of the charges list, which I did via credit card.
The next Tuesday I checked my credit card statement & saw Dielman had charged me a the larger amount at the top of the charges list rather than the bottom amount I was told I was being charged. It had charged & processed on Friday. I called Dielman (Tuesday) & spoke with their office manager who told me they had made a mistake in their billing & had applied a credit twice so had adjusted the bill. Dielman HAD NOT CALLED ME Friday thru Monday to explain before adjusting the bill. I received only an after-the-fact appology & excuse that the manager had not been in the office on Friday to call me about the adjustment. It was THEIR billing mistake but the office manager was not willing to accept fault & honor the lower charge.
I do not consider this good customer service & will be disputing the difference in charges thru my credit card company. I won't be using Dielman for my future moves.
I should have paid with cash or check which would have prevent them from adjusting the bill.
