The first time I brought the truck in was to diagnose the low power problem and repair the fuel shutoff solenoid which had a bolt broken off of it they helicoiled it and put in a new bolt and said all was well then one month later the fuel shutoff solenoid broke right off the injection pump causing the afc housing to be damaged which was an additional dollars there is no reason why the bolt would have broke off again if diesel tech had repaired it properly the first time and did not warranty the work the second time I brought it back there

Diesel Tech Preformed a Motor Vehicle Record of Inspection, which we recieved written confirmation that he wanted the $
inspection preformed which is also called out CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection) *** wanted to know more about heavy-duty tow package that was with this truck, and this was the only thing he requested above the original report
The remote start is an aftermarket part that we don't check as well as if the customer wanted something specific checked after reviewing the report then he should have made us aware and we would have been more than happy to check that item
The customer was provided a copy of the report and should have review the document to see what was completely covered
We know that their was no issue with the DPF sensor as it would have given us a code when we scanned the truck/ DPF was deleted so it still wouldn't have a code, we don't normally check the level of the DPF fluid the same as we don't check the level of diesel in the truck, if the customer had a special request to complete this we would have been more than happy to
As for the jack, this is not part of the inspection but I have confirmed with the dealer that you have one
Diesel Tech would be willing to offer you a $credit for your inconvenience

First of all we are sorry to hear that this customer was not happy with the service provided.
We are not willing to give the customer any compensation for his downtime as that is not part of our warranty policy, Diesel Tech has a 90...

warranty on labor and because the customer provided his own parts, there was no warranty on the parts.
The first time the truck came to our facility it came in for lack of power, the second time it came in for fuel shut off, and this last time it was for a oil leak.
As a good will to the customer, even though he was over the 90 day warranty, we covered the labor and warranty. March 12, was the last time the truck was in our shop prior to July 13th 2015.
As for the downtime on July 13 and 14, the truck showed up without an appointment, our service manager did everything in his power to get the truck done as soon as possible but unfortunately it took until the following day as the engine has to be ran up to check for leaks and then cooled again. As soon as the truck was ready we provided it back to the customer which was first thing July 14.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/07/18) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The first time I brought the truck in was to diagnose the low power problem and repair the fuel shutoff solenoid which had a bolt broken off of it they helicoiled it and put in a new bolt and said all was well then one month later the fuel shutoff solenoid broke right off the injection pump causing the afc housing to be damaged which was an additional 300 dollars there is no reason why the bolt would have broke off again if diesel tech had repaired it properly the first time and did not warranty the work the second time I brought it back there

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/02/07) */
Mr. [redacted] came into our shop and required an engine replacement, so we quoted it out for him and he decided that he was going to provide an engine so in order to claim aftermarket warranty on his engine we had to purchase the engine from...

Mr. [redacted] and then the Money recieved from the warranty would come to us and then we would pay the difference to Mr. [redacted], the cost on the engine that he has told us is $4250 but we have never seen an invoice from where he purchased the engine from.
So there is 2 way to do that math on this.
If you take the invoice that doesn't have the engine on it $2603.90 + $4685.62(4462.50 x 1.05)the engine = $7289.52 which was the invoice that was submitted to cost to cost for warranty, they paid $4910 toward the invoice so that would bring the total that Mr. [redacted] owes us to $2379.52.
Since Mr. [redacted] purchase the engine for $4250 and we owed him that since we received the Money from the warranty company and he owed us $2379.52 the difference is $1870.48 which was the amount that was returned to him.
The other way that we can do the math on this is $4910 was what we received back from the warranty company and we owed him $4250 for the engine so the difference is $660 that we owe Mr. [redacted] owed us $2603.90 - 660.00 = $1943.90. Which I would agree too.
The Reason that Mr. [redacted] thinks that we still owe him $435.62 is because he is not factoring in the $4685.62 (cost of the engine $4250.00 but because he supplied his own engine we charged a 5% mark up instead of the standard 20-35% depending on the product in the industry and the GST that he is not factoring in the amount)
$4250 Mr. [redacted] Purchase Price for the engine
x .05 = Mark up %
= $212.50 Total Mark up
$4462.50 - $4250+$212.50 cost on the engine
X .05 GST
$223.13 GST Charge
$212.50
+223.13
= $435.63 total that Mr. [redacted] still thinks we owe him
Please let me know if you have any questions as I would be more than happy to answer it.
Final Consumer Response /* (3000, 7, 2014/02/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
They have nothing to do with the engine I bought it and deliver it
[redacted]

[redacted]
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2014/02/14) */
I will agree to pay the $435.62 but I am away on vacation starting today so it won't be written until the week of Feb 25, 2014, but Mr. [redacted] must remove his review from [redacted].
