controlI have their replacement Door in my ShopAs I have had for a few weeksI have been super super busy with work trying to keep up with the demandI am a one man businessI have been working 6-Days a week for several weeks now many days 14-hours. I have always had the intention of taking care of them as I do with all of my customers.
Now in addition, In an attempt to make best use of my time I try work work these things as I am in the areaThey are 2-1/Hours away from me NE of ***They have a working shower with doors that work just fineNow let me address the complaint about the doors leakingFirst off these are Frameless 3/8" Think French style doors (Doors) There is no frame at the bottomYou can do your own research on Frameless shower doors and leakageYou will not find a Manufacturer that warranties a frameless door against leakage and I shared and explained that with the ***s at the very onset of this projectIn addition one thing that I always and I mean always tell potential customers is I am not a magicianI cannot keep water from running down hillHowever If the Shower was built correctly there should be no issuesMeaning the threshold slopes in towards the shower( I did not build the shower) Then I go onto explain "in the event that there is leakage I will do everything within my power to stop it or slow it down." Meaning I will use seals or a metal threshold along the bottom to do so. You see When people say Frameless They Mean as little metal as possibleWould you agree that is what Frameless is? That is the reason I rarely install these as well as the reason I rarely install Door seals at the initial install unless instructed to after we have a discussionWouldn't you agree that a Plastic Poly Carbonate seal would tend to get ugly and nasty over time? I even go as far to describe what is and is not a leak in a frameless shower doorIf there is less water on the floor then when you get out of the shower to get a towel before drying offThat is not a leakNow If there is enough water to pick up a bath matt and wring it out or it drips then there is an issueand I sayI will do everything within my power to correct or stop the water from coming outBut, Once I have exhausted those possibilitiesIt is what it isAs I said previously, I do NOT Build shower stallsI only install glass as they request it giving my suggestion as to what may or may not work best for their situationI always discuss water leakage with my clientsI have been doing this for over Years and have installed thousands of shower doors in this time frameEverything from a basic slider door that is most common to the most complex and expensive doors you could ever imagine costing well over $10,in some case for one glass enclosureI assure you everyone gets treated with the same respect and courtesy as the next individual. Review: I tried the online program and decided it didn't work for me so I called for a refund of $140 (total amount I paid). I made a total of six phone calls over a two month period regarding this issue. I paid for this with a Visa gift card and no longer had the gift card. They said they would look into it and never called me back. Again, I called to check the status and they said they were working on it. Finally, on the fifth call, I was told they "had a staff meeting" and decided they would refund my money by cutting a check and verified my address. Great. I was a little annoyed but it was fixed so no problems. Two weeks go by and although they promised me my refund within two weeks, nothing. I called for the sixth time and the gal I spoke with said she needed to speak with the guy who handles their accounting/refund issues. I called at 3pm California time and the gal said she would call me back and never did. They keep saying they will get back with me and I get another answer but no actual money. The Diet Free website states everywhere that you will receive a refund if you are not happy and I have yet to see that happen. Everyone I spoke with has always been nice and I have nothing against the product. However, they are not living up to their promises on their products or websites. I simply want my $140 back. I have no idea what else I can do because this company is not giving me my money back like they promise on their advertising. Perhaps this is a company you can't trust.Desired Settlement: The company told me they would send me a check for $140 (full amount I paid). They have verified my address and know the situation. All they have to do is send me the check (sooner rather than later because I've been waiting a long time) and all will be well.
