Dig Boss LLC Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 11126539, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me
I do wish to point out to Dig Boss that a large part of our complaint was the customer service that we received. *** was told more than once that the crew would be out to make the repairs "this week" or "Thursday or Friday, since the weather is nice." When no one showed up and we didn't receive a call to let us know they weren't coming, that generated the complaint to the Revdex.com. If we had been told we had to wait a month because of weather conditions, we would have accepted that explanation. In the future, just be aware that people want you to be honest and forthcoming; being evasive and not telling the truth is unacceptable
Sincerely,

This work was completed yesterday to the satisfaction of the City inspector and hopefully to the satisfaction of the homeowner. It is not an uncommon occurrence for asphalt and concrete patches to take longer in the winter months. We were made aware that the asphalt patch in the Right of...

Way needed further attention by the Right of Way inspector for the City of Centennial. We work with the City on a regular basis and they are aware of the difficulty with regard to scheduling in the winter. We experience longer periods of time for asphalt patches to be completed due to the weather not being conducive to patch as well as plants not batching asphalt everyday. We are an emergency based sewer and water repair company, which means a broken water main would take priority over redoing an asphalt patch. The City inspectors understand these factors and work with us by allowing more time in the winter for repairs. We apologize for the delay and inconvenience to the homeowner.

I think Mr. [redacted] may be confused about who he spoke with as well as other important details relating to this work. This response is being written by [redacted], I am the owner of Dig Boss and I have never had any dialog with Mr. [redacted]. In speaking with all of our employees involved in this...

project, none of them were aware of any problems or concerns expressed by Mr. [redacted] until this complaint was filed. Dig Boss performed a sewer video inspection at [redacted] on November 29, 2017 for [redacted]. The video inspection clearly shows a break in the clay tile portion of the sewer line with a 3ft root tail at approximately 65ft. This broken joint was roughly 3ft in-front of a 45° bend in the line and located in the backyard of the residence. In addition to this broken section of clay sewer pipe there was a soft core blockage (buildup of sewage like jelly inside the line) at 28 – 30 feet in the cast iron portion of the line under the building. We recommended an 8ft spot repair at this broken section and proposed installing cleanouts in the backyard at the point of the repair, we included jetting the sewer line from the newly installed cleanouts after the repair to remove the soft core blockage in the cast iron portion of the sewer line. We reported our findings and our recommendations. We provided a written proposal with scope and pricing. The homeowners signed the proposal approving the work. On November 30, 2017 we performed the sewer repair and cleanout installation as stated, during the repair it was noted by the crew leader that two additional clay tile joints were compromised (leaking/not sealed). Both of these joints were replaced at the time of the repair at no additional charge to the homeowners, 15ft of new PVC pipe was installed with double sweep cleanouts. The repair was inspected and passed by the City and County of Denver (permit# [redacted]). On December 1, 2017 Colorado Sewer Service jetted the sewer line from the outside cleanouts removing the soft core blockage. The system was back in service and operated normally for two months. On January 30, 2018 Dig Boss responded to a call at this same address for a backed up sewer line. We ran a sewer camera again and found a section of the cast iron pipe under the building had collapsed since our last repair. This new collapsed section of cast iron was approximately 30’ from the previously repaired section and was not damaged at the time of the original repair and video inspection. We recommended excavating and repairing this collapsed section of cast iron. The homeowners were given a 5% (repeat customer) discount on this new repair as they were now a repeat customer. We provided a written proposal with scope and pricing. They approved the work. We then began the repair the same day. Upon excavation and further inspection of the cast iron piping it was determined that an additional section of cast iron under the stairs and into the adjacent unit would need to be replaced. We made our recommendation. We provided a written proposal with scope and pricing for the additional work. The homeowners signed the proposal and approved the additional work. The repairs were completed per our written agreement. I think it’s also important to note at this point that the homeowner still has several sections of clay tile sewer pipe which have roots in them and will require continued maintenance to prevent additional sewer backups. Over time these joints are at risk of collapse and may require additional repairs in the future. After these interior repairs were complete we ran the credit card provided by [redacted] for the final balance of $1250 (all previous amounts had been paid). The credit card was declined. We attempted to contact Mr. [redacted] (three separate people) on five separate occasions over the next few weeks to notify him that his credit card was declined and that he would need to provide some other form of payment for the balance due. He did not respond to our messages until [redacted] (our office manager) explained in her last message that a mechanics lien would need to be filed if we didn’t hear back from him. He called [redacted] back the same day February 28, 2018. He voiced some concerns about how the sewer line ran and why the one unit furthest from the main was affected but not the other, he said he was out of town and he would get back with her on Friday March 9, 2018. [redacted] stated she would hold-off filing the lien until she spoke with him on March 9th and they could discuss the particulars about the sewer so he could get a better understanding about how things were. In summary, Dig Boss provided written proposals with scope and pricing prior to performing any work. Once the proposals were approved we provided the service per our agreements. In the case of the initial repair we provided scope above our agreement at no additional charge and in the case of the second repair, a 5% repeat customer discount was given. In the interest of resolving this issue amicably, I will offer Mr. [redacted] a $250 discount off of his remaining balance if he pays the $1000 before March 16, 2018. Respectfully [redacted]
