In short, DHA refuses to accept the insurance decision that there is no balance due. I have been compliant all along.When I was notified that there was a balance due,(from a bill in 2014) I immediatley contacted both my insurance plans. There were some issues with my secondary (my primary paid their portion) and even though I complied and made the necessary phone calls, etc. I was sent to collections.....I was told by DHA that I WOULD NOT receive any more notices about sending me to collections. They did anyway. I have been told over and over and over that I owe NOTHING by the insurance. DHA refuses to discuss this matter with me any further. I have been compliant and in contact with them and my insurance company all along. I spoke to[redacted] at the collection agency after I sent them the EOB which states I OWE NOTHING, and she agreed. She could see there was a ZERO balance due, but again DHA refused to agree to that. I have never been sent to collections and I am appaled that no one will discuss this issue with me at DHA. I can supply all copies of billing, names and dates of conversations that took place. This will go on my credit report if not handled by December, which is an unfair situation.Desired SettlementSimply put, take me off the credit collection agency list and review my situation. Business Response If there is an issue with insurance, the patient is 100% responsible for resolving the issue. We bill insurance only as a courtesy. We are not responsible for what an insurance company tells a patient. If a patient has an unpaid balance, we as any other business, have the legal and moral right to pursue payment.
